Does anyones yorkie stare allot?

Lola will sit even when having a cuddle and stare right into our eye's, she is not aggressive at all, as soon as we look back at her she'll quickly turn her eyes the other way or start wagging her tail. The thing is she does it all the time!! lol. Is it attention seeking? Or a begging type of behavior?

Dogs stare into each other's eyes before a confrontation. She's averting her eyes and wagging her tail...to show she is submissive to you.

Or it could be love.

Yep, mine does this all the time. Very attentive. Just like kjc, I think it is LOVE!!!!

Mine only does it if we are eating he won't come and beg for food but his eyes are glued on us from across the room while he is in his bed....

Melody like to stare at her daddy a lot, mostly because she is obsessed with him

and she does for attention, even when she is on my lap, she stare at him

daddy and her even play the game who last the most staring each other, is hilarious to watch

Bailey does it A LOT. She usually rests her chin on me at the same time. I like to think its love and affection, but honestly, I think its begging... either way, its adorable and gets my attention - so she uses it to her advantage

Edward does this A LOT as well but he does it when im eating and when its late and i get out of bed to smoke a cig he just sits where ever i go and stares but i think its b/c he doesnt want to be in bed with out me! and his stares will also follow me when he is really tired and i walk around the room cleaning up like stop it just get in bed and cuddle with me! So i agree with everyone else it is definitely PUPPY LOVE!
