| My yorkie was doing that too for a while...but he's back to going on the pee pad... I just had to reinforce it more. and not just assume he knew where to go at all times. put his leash on, and just make him stand by the pee pad and say what you say to make him go. "Go potty!", ect! It worked for me, and only took a few days of reinforcing it more. |

| I would say he needs to be more restricted... Do you have a larger kennel or ex pen you could keep him in while you're at work so he will be less likely to potty in his area?

| I don't know if Peanut lifts his leg when he goes #1, but Momo does & I had to figure out a way to save the walls...He goes right against the door or on the door ledge (not sure what it's called), so I put an empty bottle against the places he goes & wrapped it in a piece of pee pad. Kinda like an indoor fire hydrant, only it's a glass bottle! lol a bit blurry. I also had to place pee pads where they go at first & eventually in one place, the bathroom. I've found that washable pee pads = less accidents (I still line the bottom w/paper ones), but need to get rid of all rugs. They can't tell the difference! You also need to get rid of any urine smell where he's gone before.

Yes pnut lifts his leg..sometimes. And he lifts on the baseboards as well. I dont know what started this he has me and my bf stummped. My bf thinks he is upset bc we dont give him table scraps and I started to feed him twice a day. Maybe I should try the bottle trick or just putting him in a kennal...

| I love the bottle idea!!! That's great. My fresh Wally lifts his leg also. I have been having trouble getting him to use the pads also. I never had this problem with Coco because he barely squats to pee. (don't hurt yourself). I'm gunna try it with the bottle. My dad, God rest his soul, always said, "you learn something new everyday"

| Fynn doesn't lift his leg, he just stands there and goes. And you don't know he's going until he looks at you and then waddles away! If he'd lift his leg, at least I'd know before he did it. UGH.

| I also have a larger pickle jar on the side corner to prop up the pads against the wall. You can also put the jar in the middle of the pad if the pad is big enough. Girls go around there too instead of going in the edge & getting it all over on the floor & bottom of the pad.

| I LOVE my little Crickett, but I have to admit, she is a potty training NIGHTMARE! Every little thing causes her to regress. I'm all for crate training and Crickett sleeps in a crate. But I can't leave her in there all day while I'm at work. I felt guilty leaving her alone all day when we moved (and she stopped goingto daycare) and got her a big ex-pen. Boy was that a mistake. Now I have her ex-pen large enough for her food, piddle pad, little rascal patch (still trying to convince her that outdoors is better, but she thinks otherwise) her food and water and a cat cube. Yes believe it or not, the cat cube is her favorite place to hang out. She hides her blankie, toys and chew toys in there. (It gives her the den effect but isn't as confining as her crate.) There is just enough room for her to walk to the potty spots and her food. Thats it! This seems to be working for us. But if I give her any extra room.... I'll be cleaning up piddle messes when I get home. Grrrr.... Good luck!
