MAX - is the "player". He is always playing with toys. The LP he has the vet says may never need surgery. It is grade 2. He is doing great. Never even gives it a thought while he is running and playing. For someone who wonder what LP is. He is a playful dog and can be be a real lover boy.
I got got MICKEY from Breny here on the board. I will contact her before r-homing him as she said.
I can't think any more... I need some rest.

Like I said, I would be willing to sort of foster Max until you get your feet on the ground if you wanted that to be an option. If you don't think that's an option for you, let me know too. I know you're not totally thinking straight right now. I just want to help you out.

I'm with everyone who has posted here....don't do anything rash! You can and will make it. I am single with a child and I can tell you from experience it is not easy but it can be done. Just have faith and take one day at a time.

I just wanted to add that in my personal opinion, Brit is one of the most educated, responsible, and respected pet owners on this board and she would make a great foster or even forever home for Max or Mickey. You are lucky she is close by and willing to help!

I'm with ladyjane. Just step back a minute and don't do anything too quickly. I've been there once myself. There are laws to protect and assist you. Besides, this will be a difficult time for everyone in the family and your children may find the dogs a comfort to them. Just think this through, please and wait till you have all your facts. And you won't know that for a little while yet. Good luck to you and I hope it all works out.

I agree about Brit. I think that she would give Max or Mickey a great home. Plus she is close to you where you could stay in touch.

I agree with other posters, dont make any final decisions until you have had time to calm down and think clearly.
It may not seem like it right now but you WILL get through this and we are all here to help you.
Regarding you dogs, remember nothing has to be permenant.. you can always get someone to foster them until you find your feet and can bring them back home.

I agree completely. So sorry to hear what you're going through, but remember there are brighter days ahead. If there is even a SLIGHT possibility that you can keep your boys, I would wait, wait, wait on rehoming them. You and your children will already be overwhelmed with change, so rehoming the boys should be a last resort. I wish you all the luck in the world for everything to settle and work in your favor.
