| Too big for her britches! Lucy went all "alpha dog" and barks like crazy at the neighbor and then anybody she would see from the window...including her reflection! She was in an assertive mood for sure, turning away when I would try to mess with her face. Just being way too big for her britches. I remember Spicy doing that and we'd put him on his back until he calmed. (yes, we watch Dog Whisperer!) We did that with Lucy and she calmed but she is stubborn. Do you have any tricks you do when you see one thinking they are the ultimate boss?

| When Bailey does something that's bad, I tell him "no".. But then he looks at me and starts barking like mad. So it feels like a tantrum has ensued and we're just yapping at eachother.. when it gets really bad, I just pick him up and put him on his back in my room (where it's quiet)..pretty much telling him to calm down. :-/ it helps me.. He does calm down. |
