Yorkie Talker | A quick report on the condition of Scooter ----we had him down to the vet hospital in Toronto to day ----Dr Williams gave him a good check over and also a Ultra sound on his heart -----she said that the problem was the Ductus Arteriosus like Rhett,s Mama said she thought it was-----she also said that they could fix the problem ether by going in through the chest and actually tieing the duct off or by going in through a vein in the leg and putting a stint in to block it------- because of scoots small size the later might be difficult------ she said the heart is slightly enlarged but it should shrink somewhat after the operation------she thought that after the operation he should be able to live a NORMAL life -------I want to go over all this with our local vet and get things going as soon as possible - |

| This is such wonderful news! I am so happy that surgery can help Scooter and also that you are his parents. Ashley had an enlarged heart and it did go almost back to normal. In time, her heart started to enlarge again because the source of the problem, her trachea, was still there but she still lived a very long life. I know from seeing her x-rays and living with her how much the heart can improve. Thank you so much for updating us. Scooter's story is very heartwarming.
