| Does anyone else have this problem? Ok, I had a huge problem with my baby today (thank god I work for my mom and I could go home to give her a bath) Ok she was going poop on her pad and she was straining like she was constipated. She was on their for like 5 minutes and I thought she was having problems so I picked her up and looked at her little bottom. Her poop was all tangled up in her hair and it was causing her to strain. So I got a wet wash cloth and tried to pick it all out here but it wouldnt work so I had to take her home and give her a bath. Does this ever happen to your little babies and what can I do to prevent it? After she goes to the bathroom everytime I ALWAYS check to make sure she didnt get it in her hair. I need suggestions |

| Unfortunately, this happens all the time. I too get my dogs a "sanitary cut" from time to time to keep the hair around their little bumms nice and trim...

| Yes, having a sanitary cut does help alot. I've never had this problem, but then again Deegan always gets his sanitary area clipped to prevent this. Try that and see if it happens less. I'm sure it will help.

| My yorkies have this happen once in a while. It happens especially if they've eaten something they're not used to. I try to keep them trimmed well "back there", but if they have a loose BM it can still happen. Try to keep your little one's diet consistent. If you decide to change it up, do it slowly by incorporating the old food with the new for a period of time. It gets their system used to it. Dawn |

| Out of 7 adults, the only ones that get "dookey butts" here are the two whose tails were docked VERY short. I keep baby wipes but usually I have to give a dookey-butt bath..Put on rubber gloves, hold your breath rinse well with warm water, shampoo, rinse and dry. Shave the hiney area. Oh, and now you can breathe. Sorry, I forgot that..LOL |

| Yes Both of mine have been like that before. Now we keep the hair shaved there and it helps. |

| The same exact thing happened to me when Ruby was about 3 months. i had seen her having trouble pooping so I picked her up and sure enough she had poop stuck in her but nad hair. Since that incident I give her a sanitary shave around her anus all the way down to her vulva. |

| Yes...I've been there. With two different dogs but if you keep hair trimmed it's usually not a problem. |
