| Grrr Pet Insurance!!! Pet Insurance is so hard to pick!! I have been looking at pet insurance for at least a few weeks. Petplan looks good and so does Halifax. The problem i am having is that Poppy is to YOUNG to be insured!! Its so annoying, she deserves cover too even tho she is young just because she is younger does not mean that i wont have to pay out any less if she gets sick or ill, i really want to be safe and get her insurance sorted but non of them will insure her untill she is 6weeks old and some you have to be 8weeks.... its just so annoying! I like to be prepared and have everything in place, i dont like the fact she is home and not insured! Does anyone know of any good pet insurance that starts the cover a little sooner? I was even thinking about changing her date of birth on it but then if anything does happpen to her (touch wood it dont) they would be able to see from the vet what her date of birth is and it wouldnt be valid so there is no point. ~sigh~ I just wanna be safe, its not fair they dont insure untill 6+ weeks of age.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I understand their reasoning to a point- to prevent people from taking a pup home too early and then sticking the insurance company with the bill for the consequences of doing so. It's probably also to prevent greeders for insuring pups while prior to them showing any signs of congenital problems. It is the pits, though, when you are trying to be a responsible pet owner.

| Molly and Poppy are insured with Argos, but i dont know how young they start. I think petplan is one of the best, but probably the most expensive.
