| Ears again!! I spoke to a breeder about the timeline for Yorkies ears to start standing up and he said that none of his dogs' ears stand up. The sire and dam both have floppy ears. Does that mean that bloodlines aren't what they are supposed to be??? Kim |

| He might just be very lax in his grooming and if you don't take off some of the hair on their ears the weight of the hair alone can make the ears flop. Once the cartilage is broken down even if you shave the ear hair the ears will not go back up. Does he mean that even his pups never have their ears come up?? Maybe they are mixes? Don't know about that, that's a weird one!!

| He is saying that none of the pups ears ever stand up and what alarmed me was that the picture of the dam and sire had floppy ears. He mentioned shaving and taping but said that he never bothers with that. |

| just my opnion, but if he never bothers with that, I would be wondering what else he is lax about. Any reputable breeder would take the time to groom thier dogs correctly. It is just a matter of pride. I would look elsewhere for a reputable breeder who takes pride in his dogs
