Why would you want to breed. Most reputable breeders breed to improve, not breed just for the money! How are you improving the breed by breeding a mixture?

This is enough reason to NOT breed her and have her for a pet only!
A reputable breeder does NOT breed a dog that is poorly bred and especially when you aren't even sure if she's pure bred or a mix!
If you want to breed, then you should take the advice of reputable breeders on YT.
Do research, find a mentor and go from there!
The world is already full of mixed breeds and poorly bred dogs, shelters are full of them.

What has suddenly made you change your mind? If there is any question at all of her breeding, you should NOT be subjecting puppies to it, too.

As Reese said, there are more than enough poorly bred yorkies out there. You aren't doing anything to better the breed by bringing more pups in to the world.

Please tell us that you at least did all the requisite health testing on both the dam and sire prior to the mating. Tell us that you had them both tested for liver problems, you had their knees and hips certified...

There is so much more to breeding than throwing two dogs together.

This was years ago, the vet was curious so he did it for me. Now though you can get a DNA kit and do it yourself for about $79. You just swab their mouth, pop it in an envelope and send it to the lab. My friend did it and it was really interesting. Some tests only test for 60 breeds and there are others that test up to 300 breeds. You could test Jackson, if you want. But I think he is handsome no matter what breed he is!!

I took her to our vet's office and had her DNA tested and had ex-rays done to see how many puppies she was going to have and found she is truly a pure breed Yorkie so I guess I let my worries get the best of me.

I had already given up on that It doesn't matter to me anymore whether she is AKC or CKC and it seems that people just keep harping on it! Let it go!
