				 | i have the same problem w/my older dame, Sophie. she's not a big fan of kids. i don't take her around kids any longer. i find it's easier to control her than OPK (other people's kids). AND i get no lawsuits that way. |

| No Longer a Member | Yep Yep, when my grandchildren come around Giz it's all the running and the light up shoes that do him in. It's all over but the cryin when they are here..he spends the rest of the night hiding under the coffee table of behind the sofa. I try to tell them to quit running (ages 2 & 3).. but nip nip, and if you pick up his ball you better lose it fast or he's comin' for you. He thinks this is HIS house and what the hell are THEY doing here messing with my stuff, he always gets in trouble when the kids are here. |

				 | Whenever Harley plays w/ my other dog Zeus he totally dominates him. I mean he's snarling and growling the whole time and chewing on Zeus's back legs! I know they're playing most of the time but sometimes I feel so bad for Zeus bc he has no backbone to stand up to Harley! Even though he's twice his height! And man if Zeus decides to check out Harleys toys or even walk by Harleys x-pen (where he hides all his toys, food, bed etc - basically HIS DOMAIN) Harley tries to kill him! He's nuts! But then 5 seconds later they're wrestling around and playing w/ each other again! Is this ok??

				 | Sango doesn't like kids either. She barks like crazy when they approach her. I always feel bad telling a kids that she can't be petted, because they proceed to look at me like the lady that won't share anything. But it's for their own good. Sango also barks at people with darker complexion the same way. It's sooo embarassing!

I agree. LeeAnn, I KNOW that Harley has his cute and loveable side, especially on his own terms but you've described several situations in which his behavior is, shall we say, less than optimum. I REALLY think it would be a good idea to consult a trainer. | |
