| Yorkie Pup with attitude My 19 week old yorkie puppy Bella is showing her 'attitude'. Today, as we were laying nicely on the sofa together having a rest, she jumped up turned around and bit me on the nose, all ready to play. I yelled, mostly cause it scared me, but it hurt too. LOL Then I 'dog whispered' her with the finger and the tsssst sound. (I have not yelled at Bella before, I really offended her apparently.) She jumped off the sofa and peered around the wall at me for about 2 hours. I called, she wouldn't come anywhere near me, and would literally turn her back on me when I would go over to talk to her. My son brought her to sit on my lap, she jumped instantly off, no loves for Mommy and ran around the corner to glare at me again. LOL. FINALLY 6 hours later she has forgiven me, or has forgotten because she just ran over to me and jumped into my lap and gave me a lot of puppy kisses and is having our cuddle time again. But, what an attitude and not quickly forgiving either....LOL. Think those 'adolescent' years might be interesting....Miss Thang.... Sue |

| Sounds like my girl! We get attitude all the time and she does the random attack too! It's so cute that she wants to play, but it can def. catch you by surprise! Cute story!

| My older boy gives me playful love bites on the nose every day. He has great bite inhibition and knows how to use his teeth very gently. First he kisses me and then he goes for the nose. Teach your pup bite inhibition. If you don't want her biting your nose, simply tell her "no bite." I also put my hand up giving the "stop" signal. I understand your pup took you by surprise, lol, but to teach a dog, I believe it is best not to have such a big reaction. Reminds me of the morning I woke up and let my little pup out of his pen and he started biting my toes. To him it was a game, but I was half awake and jumping around like a lunatic trying to escape the little devil. |

| I normally do just say no bite, which a lot of the time, works, but sometimes doesn't. LOL. She loves to sneak attack, and sometimes is gentle, and sometimes is a puppy from you know where. She is also a thief....grabs whatever she can...the remote, the dishtowel, the toilet paper, homework....you name it and runs for the hills. This is a fun fun game for her. Such personalities in such little bodies....LOL |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | I know the feeling! Poppy STALKS my nose and then dives in for the kill... if I even dare to say OUCH she goes in the huff as if I was the one who had bitten her!
