No Longer a Member | What are They Thinking? I'm going to try to describe the look, as soon as I catch it on camera I'll share, but I've seen a lot of yorkies doing it. They'll just be standing there, head cocked, starting at you completely still until you say something to them...They kind of have a forward lean as well. Anyway I realized when I was doing the dishes that Rizzo was doing this for the umpteenth time, so I was trying to decide if he was trying out his mind control ability, or trying to figure out why I decided that something else deserved my attention over him... Any thoughts? Cause my bf caught him doing this to him and it kind of freaked him out, lol! |

| Funny. When you figure it out, let me know. Beau does this all the time and sometimes it is a little creepy. :-) |

| I think they are trying out their mind control on us! Sakura does it alot when we are at work and I tell her that her doggie hypnosis doesn't work on me. Then of course I find myself taking her for a walk or something. |

| I know that look. Tinkerbelle does it all the time. She just looks so intensely at me. I'm not sure if she wants something or she's trying to figure out what I'm doing.....?

| When mine do that it seems like they are trying to tell me something. Unfortunately, most of the time I don't understand? |

| Oh, "the stare." When mine does this, I just tell her that "she's NOT a Border Collie." My parent's neighbors had two BC's, and they would do that stare to each other all the time. They would see each other across the yard, and both go into a crouching position and stare one another down, gradually moving closer to one another. The first one to look away was the loser. The use it to control sheep, and practice it in play. When I first brought Jezebel home, she did the stalk and stare a lot more than she does now. It was hilarious to see a 2 lb puppy suddenly fixate on my foot (the prey), crouch down low and lower her head, then slowly creep, step by step, still staring, then when she got close enough, freeze, then POUNCE on my foot and attack! The second she fixated her stare and crouched down, I knew what was coming!
