| I'm getting a sister for Jax! I am so excited (and nervous)! Tomorrow I am getting my new baby girl. She is already 6 months old but I picked her because 1. she is adorable and 2. She is the same size as my 5 month old boy Jax. Both only weigh 2 and a half pounds. I am nervous....how do I need to introduce them and how do I keep my boy from being jealous. Hopefully they will fall in love with each other Everyone say a prayer that it goes well......

| Oh my! I'm excited for you! May be best to introduce them to each other outside the house, on a walk. Then, when inside, give them both equal attention. If Jax seems depressed at times... do give him extra attention. I'm juggling 4, and one of my girls got a little down at one point. I just made sure to spend special, one on one time with her, till I could see she knew I still really love her too, and now she's fine. I don't play favorites, they are all my favorite. I have my fav old, boy dog, my fav little girl, my fav big girl, and my fav middle girl! So each is special in my eyes in their own way. Or, to put it another way... I found a reason to make each one feel special, silly as it may seem... they can tell if you actions don't match what's in your heart. Waiting for tons of pics! Or Jemma?

| Congrats to you! How exciting! As Kathy said, it would probably be best to introduce them somewhere other than your home. That's what I've always heard. It may be that Jax will get jealous, but it usually doesn't last too long. When I got my second, my first was very upset for a few days and showed attitude. When I got my third, the second one was so upset, and that lasted a couple of days and then she decided that little puppy might be fun to play with. They've been playing ever since! Just give Jax lots of special attention and he'll be loving his little sister in no time! Best wishes!

| All is well so far! Jax won't give her a chance to breathe He is smitten it seems! She is long and skinny and he is short and fat but they seem to be about the same size. Now I have another dilemma.....She doesn't eat the same food as he does....who do I switch? His or hers? Geez, I should have thought this through She is already taking things from him and hiding them!

| First I have to say congratulations on getting your little girl! Sounds like Jax is doing just fine with her. Did you decide yet on her name? As far as food is concerned whichever you believe is the best for them...just gradually over a few days add the new food to whoever. You have to post pictures when you are able...they must be so darn cute together!! |
