Talk about rude, I don't think you need to take the Lords name in vain!

:thumbup:No kidding It is obvious who is keeping this going and being rude. The Op did drop the F bomb which did upset some people and Im sure their posting reflected that. The Op appologized for the language so Im sure everyone will be letting it go

Rachael x 07-25-2010 11:00 AM

Can I just add that some of the OP's posts have been deleted but you can still see a few that members have quoted in their replies... and they were pretty colourful :)

yorkienc 07-25-2010 11:06 AM

furbutt 07-25-2010 11:07 AM

Well i didnt see the colourful ones, i just seen the ones being nasty to her. And altho i might just be the most ''hated'' right now lol i couldnt sit there and not say anything because it upset me what i seen towards her. I didnt see the ones of the OP being rude. Anyway i am a nice person really honest!! :D

Rachael x 07-25-2010 11:10 AM

Nobody wants anyone to leave the site, I think sometimes when your on a computer its easy to take a members comment the wrong way as you cant see what tone they are taking... thats when discussions quickly turn into arguments, which is unfortunate.
Members were only giving advice which is what you were after in the first place, Im sure nobody wanted it to get out of hand the way it is, but these things happen and everyone has to move on from it.
I hope you find your pup soon.

yorkienc 07-25-2010 11:13 AM

thanks

Exactly, wanted you to understand there were two sides, when you were pointing fingers one way. The posts were deleted. Profanity of that type is not tolerated and using the Lord's name in vain to many members goes beyond offensive and rude. Other than that the moderators and administrators try very hard to let all of us work out our differences. It would appear that this thread pretty much has.

End of discussion on that front.

furbutt 07-25-2010 11:25 AM

Well how am i ment to know the posts where deleted lol and i have seen people swear on this site loads of times, personally i am not religious so i do say the lords name in vain eek... if people dont like it well i wont do it again LOL ok end of! Done and over with!! cant be bothered with petty arguements now. I am far to excited about getting my little girl. :D :D woopa!!

the standard size for a yorkie is 5-7 lbs. if you are getting a puppy smaller than 5lb that was purposefully bred to be small you are in for a heap of heartache and health problems. there are smaller yorkies that just don't quite make it to 5lb. but a breeder that is making a yorkie small on purpose does not you that pup or Your best interests in mind and will lead to a path of heartache and vet bills :thumbdown:thumbdown

not to keep it going - but no - you don't see the F-Bomb used ....It's a dog site - there's loads of other places for that.....

I've been here a long time - I've seen it once and then was deleted. It's not that no one uses it in real life - but if you read the rules here - you can get banned if you cuss

edited to add- good luck with the puppy searches

Dixies Mom 07-25-2010 12:43 PM

Then why go through the "trouble" of registering the litter at all? Sounds like you need to make a list of questions to ask.

were you saying 12oz. at 6 weeks? i want to be clear on it and not say anything if that's not what you meant. if that is what you meant that's a pretty small baby. i would personally reconsider a breeder like that if I were you. i know you want to go look and see, but from experience once you see a baby pup you're going to want it so much that you might be blinded by the truth and get one anyways. i did that with Sadie. i saw a picture of her and fell in love and nothing anyone said could change my mind. it was made up and i closed off to all advice. i supported a bad breeder and i feel really regretful from that. this is not to make you feel like crap, i'm just telling you what happened to me. i don't want you thinking that we all hate you on here because we don't, we are simply people who have done this thing before you and we are trying our best to save you from our mistakes. think of it this way. we are a lot like mothers trying to teach a teenage daughter something that will save them from making the same mistake. it breaks a mother's heart to see her child suffer when she could have prevented it. so that's what i'm doing for you, i'm honestly trying to prevent heartache and financial burdens for you in the long run. i know what can happen and does happen when you don't listen because i thought all the veterans on here were stupid at one time and hated them so much for telling me Sadie's breeder was a bad one...but i learned the hard way that they were right. it sucks to come back on here telling them all that they were right and that your little one is sick and has LP and a lifetime of troubles. sure i love her, but i could have gotten a dog for a few more hundred dollars from a perfect breeder and have no health problems or i could have rescued another puppy from a shelter. either way it would have been a better choice than supporting and giving money to a bad man out there to produce puppies for money and not because he wants to create healthy pefect yorkies.

the thing is...we all LOVE our yorkies soo much that we don't want these terrible breeders selling off the entire breed for cheap. what i mean is that if enough BYB keep breeding dogs with no standards then eventually this beautiful dog that you and I both adore will no longer exist. intead some other mixed up breed will step in and take it's place and the yorkie will be forever GONE. i don't want that to ever happen, so i do not support bad breeders and only support ones that are honestly breeding to keep those beautiful little dogs perfect and alive.

does that kinda make more sense? i mean no disrespect i'm really just trying to show you the bigger picture that i've learned since i made my choice a year ago.

Well lets just say there has been ALOT of things said in this post that has affended me and would affend alot of people using this 'dog' site.

Thanks i cant wait to get my little girl, i am going to see her again next week i am so excited :D

Are you done? I defended the OP about 750 pages back (I'm now questioning why i did this). You also defended her. Great. Say it once & move on, but now you are literally attacking every person who posts something. This thread is laughable now, and it's a shame because there really is a good amount of information here.

The OP is a tough cookie. Stop attacking everyone on her behalf. You and the OP are now both disrespecting people who, at times may come across very strong because they are passionate, but are only looking out for your best interests.

:):):) yup ....Been here for years now - Back when it was smaller I always made sure to post on photos and to new people - it adds up that's for sure - we used to have a ton of fun staying up all night sometimes joking around. I used to make avatars here which caused a huge increase in the embarrassing post count I have....and believe me - I WANT someone to pass me :D

I was also my husbands 'caregiver' before he died so YT was kind of my break from real life -

I've made some great friends over the years and the majority of people here have alot of compassion.

There's alot more to this place then what you see posted -we have people who dedicate their lives to saving pets and trying to help others. Breeders who stay up all night with people helping them when in crises and others that are like me - who just love dogs (especially yorkies) and find it fun to be with others who have similar interests.

We may not agree with things that get said but in the big picture - we all want the same thing - for everyone to have happy healthy pets and an end to all the mills and bad breeders out there. If someone like RachelandSadie can come on here and share what she did - then it's worth it to have some of the same things said over and over - maybe not in one thread lol - but certain things need to be repeated

No one wants to see someone get a new puppy only to be faced with heartache. That should be a happy time not stressful and we're seeing too many people who are dealing with severe issues now that the whole world seems to be breeding yorkies because they're 'popular' now.

Yes, V has a lot of posts. She's one of the original members and one of the most respected.....She offers the membership and the forum a lot.

I know you're attempting to advise this person. However, we all know that some are going to do what they are going to do. Save yourself the stress and let them do it.

Someone that hasn't taken the time to research standard. How to pick a breeder and a pup. Doesn't know that a reputable breeder doesn't place a puppy in a home until 12 weeks and over 2 pounds or that one that doesn't reach that weight should not placed and not sold. Yep! they are paying to much even if the price is $500.00 it's too much, because a reputable breeder wouldn't sell a tiny.

Bottom line what will be will be and bottom line is it is the dog in the end that suffers because of disreputable breeders that take advantage of the unsuspecting, unknowledgable public. These breeders appear to be nice; tell you anything you want to hear, just to make the sale......

As do you Mardelin. I learned a lot from both of you in the time I lurked around this board before joining. The responses given on any thread, while aimed at the OP, end up educating a lot of other people.

And obviously, messages need to be repeated because the same questions keep getting asked over and over in various threads. The stuff being talked about here is NOT common knowledge, otherwise we wouldn't have a problem with things like puppy mills, byb's and sick dogs.

Honestly people, this is the internet. Put your big girl panties on before you come post. Just because you don't like the answer being given doesn't mean it's wrong or that someone is being mean. If you don't like an answer, skip over it and move on.

I understand the need to repeat. But, there are those time for our own sanity, to walk away.

Good luck in your search! :wavey:

You are right. I should have phrased that line better. By repeat I didn't necessarily mean in the same post, but rather the same message gets posted in various threads because the message it's self is worth repeating. And I am following your advice on this one, too.
