| Does anybody know a good week long boarding place around NYC?? We're considering going away for a little over a week in August (Friday until the following Saturday) and I was hoping to get some advice about leaving the little one behind.. I'm pretty nervous/not excited about having to do so, and would love any recommendations/advice/prices people have! Thanks. |

| well, I'm going away on Sep for about a month to overseas, so I looked around for nice boarding place for my yorkies. I found couple of nice ones, but it's like $65 ~85 per day and some places require you to have membership which is additional couple hundred. It is little cheaper on LI and Brooklyn $35~50. If you find any good place in the city, let me know please.

| My Daughter Lives in Manhattan and Puppy sits on the Upper West side for two little dogs. You might find someone who will stay in your home if that works for you. |

| I would check out www.petsit.com it's professional pet sitting association...You can plug in your zip code, and see who boards in your area...I belong to this association, and you have to be bonded and insured...Most of us are also first aid/cpr certified...If you find several people that work in your area, interview them (it's usually free) and see who you feel comfortable with...I, actually, board small pups in my home, and I can tell you, they are verrrrrrrrrry happy to be here, and not a kennel...They have the run of the house, a predator proof back yard, to run around in (w/me watching their every move lol), and lots of love and attention...Hopefully, you will find someone to do the same for your babies...All the best to you in your search for the perfect pet sitter... |
