| Apparently I am the Local "Yorkie" Rescue.......I have sucessfully "Rescued & Placed" Yorkie's in permanant homes. In the past 6 yrs. that I have had my Yorkies, I have had 5 Yorkies that were passed-on to me b/c their Owners just gave up on them b/c they were never properly Trained or Socialized! Only 1 was surrendered b/c they could NOT afford to feed/care or give proper Grooming & Medical/Health care! So you see there are alot of People out there that want a "Yorkie" but are un-educated/ignorant or just plain Lazy when it comes to actually taking care of one, try caring for 5 at one time, that's my Record! Key words that come to my mind in this situation are; Responsible Breeder, Friend, Gift, Free & Money! Any one that knows me, knows that I do, what I do for the pure Love of this Breed. I think I posted this thread in the right section/forum, b/c I can read and understand English? I thought I would discuss this w/everybody here b/c I was venting & totally confused by my so-called Friend's actions and contradicting behaviour? If I was trying to Re-Home or Sell him I obviously would have posted this thread in the appropriate Section/Forum, don't you think? I've been on here long enough to know what I'm doing? I was just trying to get past all the Negetive feelings towards my "Friend" b/c I was Mad, Frustrated & Disappointed in her, for giving-up on him, which I did NOT think or feel was FAIR to him!

| Well said! I think some of the members on this tend to get carried away! I honestly think that you and your friend should discuss your friendship. I commend you for taking in this bundle of joy and helping him out. |

| Well I hate to say this but, YES.....All of you were Right! On Sept. 2nd, My Landlord & his Wife noticed/commented on me having 4 Yorkies, I knew it was it was a matter of time before I would get busted....according to my Lease I am only allowed 3 Yorkies (Paid a "Pet Deposit" for 3). They gave me a week to get rid of him (their words not mine!) On Sept.7th I spoke with his Breeder, my so-called Best Friend "Julie" at this point I had him for 4 months and 3 days, she had given me him on May 4th as an early Birthday Present! She did NOT want me to Sell him she wanted me to give him back to her, so she could find him another Home? And use someone else! I Boarded, Groomed, Socialized & Trained him......Crate/House Trained, Trained him on-off Leash w/hand & voice signals for Basic commands like Sit/Stand Stay, I even Trained him to pull their Crate Stroller like a Sled Dog w/the rest of my Pack. I am so MAD @ her for not being a responsible Yorkie Breeder, she ruined his Bloodline by trying to make her own line of "Parti" Colored Yorkies, his Mother was a traditional Colored Yorkie and his Father was a Parti-Colored Yorkie, so she was trying to sell him for $1,200.00 as a Stud and calling him a "Parti Terrier" which there is NO such Breed?! Talk about confused! I could'nt stand the thought of him going back to her total "CHAOS", she could'nt even afford to feed him Royal Canin or give him proper Vet. care! I had done so much work for him, I made a committment to him to find him the Best Home possible! I would'nt have been able to do it w/o my BF and my own Pack. I had plenty of opportunities to sell him for the money but I thought it was more important that he went to Good Family with the right circumstances! So I SOLD him for $700.00, but technically for $1,200.00. I had Sold him through another Breeder, who had a waiting list, she Sold him to her Doctor. I offered her $500.00 for her cut, but she refused to take any money since she was a personal friend! Now Julie had called the following Day, to take him back, when I told her I had Sold him the Night before, her only reply was how much? When I told her $700.00 she wanted half and demanded $350.00 or she was going to call the Police and put a Restraining Order on me b/c she did NOT want to be my Friend anymore! She gave me till the end of the week, well she started leaving threatening phone calls and even sent me "Hate Mail", of course she did Not have the Balls to sign it or put a return address? Like it was'nt her? I called a couple of Local Dog Boarding/Doggie Daycare to get an Estimate of how much the same Services would cost her? It was between $3.600.00 and $2,500.00, not even including the Grooming & Training Fees! I chose not to give her any money at all, based on all of your previous comments. I feel good about what I did for HIM and I don't feel bad in any way for loosing her as my so-called "Friend", I don't like being manipulated through a "Puppy". I have 3 incredible Yorkies, I am NOT a Yorkie Hoarder......I LOVE the Breed so much that I want everyone to have one, and I believe they are the "Best Dogs" as long as you take the time to "TRAIN" them! Thanks for listening and all your emotional support it makes me feel alot better and confirms that I'm always doing the right thing for them!

| Bravo to you!!! You did a wonderful thing by taking him in and doing all that you did. I'm sorry your friend took advantage of your goodness - I'm sure that hurts.

| If I didn't have 4 dogs of my own, I would buy this little boy from you. I could never have a puppy for three months and not fall in love with him, but that's me. I know the economy is really bad, believe me. As I said before I have 4 dogs and it's real hard to make ends meet. As everybody has told you I wouldn't give this person any money if you sell the puppy. I can't see how she could even suggest it. Last edited by lexi43; 09-21-2010 at 07:30 AM. |

| He was given to you as a gift and if you rehomed him how does she have any claim to him now? She sounds like a real piece of work....
