| Some people really do shock me... So I just wanted to share a story aka VENT real quick about a situation that recently happened to someone very close to me. A couple that I've known since highschool are in the process of going through a messy divorce since she cheated on her husband with a co-worker. Well she has a 1 year old yorkie that she BEGGED her hubby to buy her that she absolutely HAD to have. He told her that they are a huge responsibility and that she shouldn't get one just to have a cute accessory. Well she ended up getting her little guy anyway and of course her husband was left to take care of it since she really only wanted him so she could put him in her purse (sad I KNOW) Anyway, flash forward a year later....she is moving out of their home and has the audacity to ask her husband if HE can keep her dog because she doesn't think she can afford him on her own. First off, how can you just give your child away like that?? But anyway, he declines and says this was HER dog and that she needed to take responsibility of him. Well after she had moved all her stuff out (I believe this was on a Friday), her husband comes home Sunday night to an empty house but hears scratching on the laundy room door......SHE HAD LEFT HIM IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM ALL WEEKEND WITHOUT ANY FOOD OR WATER!!! I literally started crying when he told me this...she didn't even tell him that she was leaving him there! Luckily the pup turned out to be okay, just was really dehydrated and they were able to help him get better. I just wanted to vent about this because some people just anger me soooo much! How selfish can you really be to leave your little baby left to basically die....I can't believe I used to be friends with this girl....I'm sick to my stomach

| This is terrible . I hope the husband finds a good home for the dog. The exwife should be locked in a closet with no food and water for the weekend. Some people just dont get it when it comes to animals.

| Oh,the poor baby. How sad, well, lets look at this in a different light, he is much better off where he is, maybe she did him favor after all. At least he will be cared for where he is, no telling what could have happened to him if she had taken him with her. Sorry, your friend let you down, people are not always what they seem. |

| I know that's what I said. I actually offered to take their pup but he actually wanted to keep him. He had grown attached to him and wanted to make sure he wouldn't go through anymore trauma like having to assimilate to a new home and new surroundings. They're very happy now

| I just don't understand how people can be so heartless. I hope she never gets another dog.

| I'm glad the husband will keep him. He seems very responsible in his thinking. That is animal abuse to leave him in there, he must have been terrified! I would have called the police on her or something like that.

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | She sounds like a selfish horrible person who will hurt anyone and anything to get her own way. I cant believe she could be so heartless and cruel to lock any animal away without food or water, basically leaving it to die. The yorky and the husband deserve MUCH better then her in my opinion, and Im glad she didnt keep the dog because god knows how he would have been treated!

She sounds like a witch and shouldn't even have the dog in the first place. I think it is best for the pup to find a new home or stay with the husband. She obviously is a very selfish self centered person to do that to a dog AND to do that to her husband! But I do have to say that the dog ISN'T a child. I have a child and I do call my yorkies my babies and all but a dog is a dog and a child is a humane being. | |

YT Addict | That is beyond disturbing. I hope the husband and this very sweet baby are able to heal and start a GREAT new life. They do deserve so much better than they had. Glad the little guy is taken care of! Mary & Mia |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Wow. That's not someone I'd want as a friend - that's technically animal cruelty and that little guy could have died in there with no food or water given their size. What a jerk she is Good for the husband - sounds like he stepped up and hopefully if all goes well he'll have a nice little buddy for a long time - but I'd def have a talk with your 'friend' - animals can't fend for themselves and she basically left him with nothing - I can't believe how people live with themselves |

| I would also tell him to report this to the authorities. He needs a record of what happened to the dog in her care so that when she tries and gets the dog back, he has a record of what happened. I have the feeling she will see him happily loving the dog and want to make trouble. She just seems like the type. Thank god pup was alright.
