seriously, You ladies are doing so much for these little babies. Let us(ones who can't help you in person) help you in other ways like sending you supplies or donations. That will mean alot to us. |

Yes, it is definitely been our minds about what these poor babies may have. We did our best to rid them of fleas last night. Brenda had some capstar, I had never heard of it before. Thank you for the offer of donation...we haven't even really discussed it all. I guess I will leave it up to Bonnie to decide on what should take place as she is the one who is getting the dogs and getting the people together as far as placing them with fosters at the moment. Once we've had an opportunity to talk about it, I will for sure let you know. Thanks, Bo :) |

I'll try and get a dialogue going later on and maybe send some information out to those who wish to help. Thank you so much for the offer. I, and I am sure Bonnie and Brenda appreciate everything that everyone is offering. :) |
Count me in on anything needed to help you out with this amazing rescue effort. Whatever you need supplies, money etc. I know many have said it but you girls have done a great job. Thank you from all the precious pups that now will have lives because of you. |

Maybe if you would like to set up donations it could be done at a local vet and people could donate to their vet care. Since you guys are not a charitable organization just a bunch of good hearted people trying to help this might be a good way to get a little financial help with vet care or whatever is needed. :) Keep up the good work! :):):):) |
according to Brenda, when she spoke with Bonnie yesterday, the vet tech that Bonnie had there said the dogs were supposedly utd on shots. Unfortunately as Patti at ARF pointed out, there is no paperwork so no proof. We'll have to see what is what for sure. That is a great idea about going directly to the vet's offices. I will certainly let Bonnie and Brenda know. :) Thanks Megansmomma. :) |

I also think that it you do it that way it would not break any YT rules regarding collecting money for their care. |

Thank you so much for doing this! I'm glad there is a happy ending in sight for those dogs! I hope he releases the rest of them to you soon. I wonder what his wife is going to do when she gets home? |
Would one of the established rescues here be willing to set up a fund for them that we could donate to? That way no YT rules are broken. |
wow havent been on in awhile and Im so happy to learn of this.. way to go Bonnie.. you are a lifesaver.... god bless you... you get the award for" THE WORLDS MOST LARGEST HEART".. :):) |
Hi all I am back home again with another load. I was able to get 5 from the shed and a larger female dog that has recently had puppies. She still has milk and I have no clue what happened to her babies. She is a total sweetheart she likes to lay in the bath tub hehehe! Anyway, I have 2 maltese a younger male fat, an older female that the vet tech said has been bred 12 times. I also have a huge female yorkie she is unbelievable fat and a small older male. They have had their first inital bath and capstar. I have had them outside running and all the water they could drink, jump into, or whatever they like. Now they are in the house chowing down and resting. My son and his friend came over to sit and watch a movie and hold them while I work on all my babies. There are still about 5 more in the shed.... as we know by now he makes all his decisions at night so hopefully he will call tonight or tomorrow morning. We have decided that if they are not out of the shed by Monday we are calling the ASPCA and the IRS. Mr Byrd and his wife have been breeding dogs for 55 years and he get 500. to 1200. per puppy. You are talking about 60 litters a year, on average having 4 babies per litter. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! |
12 litters from one bitch and the vet knew what was going on... When a human MD suspects abuse, they are by law required to report the abuse...the same should go for a vet!! |

I've got some shampoo I've got if anyone needs any... when I get home, I'll see what else I've got. I'm sure I've got extra stuff that can be put to good use.... I've also got a ton of sample bags of food if anyone needs any. There is a "Spay Now!" clinic in Chester (I think?) or maybe Grasonville that have cheap services (shots, etc). |
Wow. You ladies are amazing. I have chills after reading this story. Thank you for doing this for these poor little babies. I wish I was closer. Please let us know how to help. |

:cry2: I can't help, but to cry about the poor girl / She probably didn't have any time to recuperate in btw litters. It is just too cruel:mad: His wife should have 12kids in a row and see what it'll do to her body! |

Corkey, Abba and Pogo Hello, from Corkey, Abba and Pogo. Well, today was a very busy day for us. It started out that this lady, that we are staying with put us in her kitchen, with a gate to block us off from the rest of the house. Then, can you believe she just left us there, while, "she said she had to work " and we were just laying here in a big fluffy thing, "she said it was a bed for dogs" then she puts these funny things in that room, she told us they were toys and they made funny noises" We had no idea what to do with them. She then picked them up and looked at us and said "go get it " then for some reason, she tossed it across the kitchen. We don't know what that was all about. She put food in these bowls and we had all the food and water we wanted while we waited for her to return. Then about 4 hours later she came back. Boy! we were so happy to see her. Then all of the sudden her comes all the dogs and cats out of another room, running up to see us.We were happy to see them too. Then out we went to run in this green stuff. I think I heard her say she needed to cut this grass. Then while we potty she picked it up.We went in to the house, it was quit cool in there. We played and checked out EVERYTHING in this place. Hey ! you know Corkey Lifted his leg but he had a belly band on so he did not get it anywhere. But this Lady said No and picked him up to let him out again. Then this evening This other lady came over Her Name is Bo. I remember her from last night, she, cut our hair and bathed us,along with the other two ladies Brenda and Patty. We got lots of hugs and we played with Bo's two Pretty dogs, Hot Rod and Maggie, they were kinda shy at first but they got down to check it all out to, like we did. Guess what ? Corky tried to get fresh with Hot Rod then Brenda and Bo said Hot Rod is a boy then he left him alone. We had pictures taken of us all night, my goodness they kept calling our names. Finally all 11 of us got so sleepy that we all started falling asleep. Then Bonnie the wonderful lady that rescued us, from that nasty place we use to live at, called and they all were talking on a speaker phone, guess what? they told us Corky has a new furever home, He gets to go to his new Mom and Dad probably tomorrow.lucky him! Now it is time for all of us to get in that big thing they sleep on, boy! thats nice. Its cool but man there is alot of us in one place, but who cares, we sleep all night, then we get to go back out and play again in the morning after we eat our breakfast. The good thing is, Brenda said she does not have to work. So maybe we can go to the dog park,She did tell us that anyway, but we over heard her saying she thinks 4 more of our friends from that nasty, hot, stinky place were coming here to stay sometime tomorrow. It will be nice to see them again, but of course in much better conditions.Well ! until later, good night our fans,we will keep you updated on our new homes as we here these wonderful ladies talking about it. Good night our bed is calling. Corkey,Pogo and Abba |
This is such a touching story! Bless your hearts for rescuing these babies in need! I hope you can get the rest tomorrow. I can't stand to think of the suffering these babies have had to endure. I'm so thankful you are getting them a better life where they can be loved! |
Abba , Corky, and Pogo All is well with these sweet little babies. They are sleeping. Abba and Corky are on me. They are adjusting well (like they been here forever ) Thanks to Bo, We got some pictures . Today I talked to a few vets to see if they can at least look them over, Corky and Abba have VERY bad teeth. In Corky's case, his tooth It just needs to be pulled out. Pogo's are not as bad but bad enough. I am going to talk to a few more places to see how fast I can get them spayed hopefully before going to there furever home. The county animal control does it for $10.00 I was told. so if they can fit them in I think it would be be a good idea. I think Abba is a little sore in her mouth because she is having a hard time eating, due to her tongue keeps getting in the way but her teeth are so bad they stick out so far . I have a vet that is coming to check these guys out tomorrow (but not Corky) because she wants one also.I am going to see if she will do a quick check over for me. I do know they have been followed closely by the vet. They did have a lot of records on these guys. Bo and I are going to be meeting up with Bonny on Friday so i can get the 4 she got today. Corky should be going home on Friday as well.Well just updating you all .I will talk later. Brenda Rash:animal36 |
Awww Brenda, that was such a touching, sweet, and funny story. I could almost picture it in my head. Makes me wish I could've been there to join in on all the fun at your house :p You & Bo are sweeties for taking the time to make sure they feel at home. I'm so glad Corky has found a home..Yay!! I'm sure the others will too! |
wonderful all the things you re doing for the doggies...take care...Ruaga |
So touching, so sweet.... love the update and bless you for this rescue. |
3 Attachment(s) I am so happy Corky has a home I am crying tears of joy. Thank you <3! As for the 5 I have here, they are just too sweet and are loving running around the yard. I am on my way back up to the vets for more flea medicine and than off to get more canned food and pee pads et cetera. I know some of you guys have asked about donations and I have always covered all the expenses myself but I have never rescued so many, and they do need supplies and medical treatment. Poor Brenda is trying to keep up with supplies finacially on her end and it is getting a bit draining for her too. I have no idea how to set up a fund. We could really use the help if anyone would like to donate. Brenda's # is 410-935-2251 or mine is 443-250-0645. If you would like to send donations or supplies you can send them to Bonnie Johnson 7620 Worcester Hwy. Berlin, MD 21811 and Brenda can give you her information. Thank you from the bottom of all these little babies hearts and mine, Brenda's and Bo's too. If anyone would like to come out to Brenda's or my house to meet the babies please feel free to give either one of us a call to set up an appointment. Thanks in advance for all your prayers and support. GOD has surely blessed us and I can't say thank you enough! Big Hugs and Smiles! Here are a few pictures of the ones I have. I still have a lot of grooming that needs to be done today. They have just had an inital bath, mats cut out and treated for fleas a good meal and a peaceful nights sleep out of a stinky cage. |
