So cute!!!! |
Pocamoke rescues I had the priviledge of fostering 7 wonderful sweet babies for the last 5 days. Thanks Bonnie for allowing me to foster these babies. But Most of all I want to thank Bo for being there for me. She was here helping ever day all day helping with all the babies, making phone calls, taking pictures, and making collars and kiss e collars for these sweet babies, but we got so busy that she did not have the time to make them for the Sunday deliveries.Because when I got up in the morning I gave poor Bo 20 minutes notice That I had a road trip to go and meet/and drop off to there new Mommies and Daddies. She pick me and all 4 of the little ones up and away we went. She was my support when it came time to drop them off and leave. She knew I was getting so attached to Pogo and supported me through the whole thing. Reminding me that she was going to a good home. She was right but my heart was not understanding it. She was my back bone. Thank you so much Bo for everything you did to help me and the little ones. Taking pictures and posting them on YT calling and PM YT members about these babies. I could not of done it with out you.Bo you are the greatest. A new friend I would not of known if it was not for YT even though we live 5 minutes from each other. Also I wanted to thank the people that sent me supplies. apang29 and`pawever yorky. Thanks to both of you, that was so nice of you to send the items that you sent or said that you are sending something. Thanks again, Brenda |
We make a living by what we make. We make a life by what we give. XOXO |
Dear Mrs. Johnson: Thank you for contacting me about your support for the Puppy Uniform Protection and Safety (PUPS) Act (S. 3424). It's great to hear from you. I absolutely agree with you that we need to protect the animals from the cruel conditions in puppy mills. Whether it's supporting legislation that calls for an end to the cruel and inhumane treatment of animals or the needless duplication of research when animals are used, I've always been a strong supporter of animal rights. You can count on me to continue my efforts to encourage the humane treatment of animals. The PUPS Act would require all breeders that sell more than fifty dogs a year to be licensed and inspected. This would also close the internet loophole that puppy mills are currently exploiting. S. 3424 is now being considered by the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry. I will keep your comments in mind should this legislation come before the full Senate. Again, thanks for writing. If I can be any assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Sincerely, Barbara A. Mikulski United States Senator |

WONDERFUL NEWS :) ...now, I hope those remaining 4 dogs make it out  Honestly, someone who has 4 small dogs and they still need to "keep" them in a shed, tells me that they should not have those dogs at all   Those poor innocent babies, they probably need dire medical care too :( :( |
I can't believe everything that's happened on this thread ~ and in such a short time. What a wonderful job in finding all those poor little dogs a home; I can't believe they were all living in a shed. You all are angels on earth! And Ralph looks pretty happy with Shady Girl . . . . |
I'm confused. If this guy is a scam artist, why is he letting these dogs go? |
This AMAZING story!!!!!! You save so many baby! There special place next to God in Heaven for angel like you people! |
This is wonderful news you should all be very proud of yourselves :) |

I think that when the dogs aren't producing as many puppies, or when these "people" think that the authorities are closing in, they "purge" the dogs they have, then purchase new ones and start all over again. Just my theory.. |

Amen to that. It makes me sick to know some people keep animals this way and worse. :( |

That is my hope too but my Gracie is one of those dogs that didn't produce well enough. She only had 1-2 puppies at a time and if there were two one usually died. My other two are her pups. Adie had a sister that died but Skeeter was a singleton. I didn't know conditions had gotten really bad at the breeders house when she offered Gracie to me at no charge. She told me she didn't have enough time for them anymore and had decided to stop breeding. Since she knew how much we loved Adie and Skeeter she said we would be perfect parents for Gracie too. I have remained friendly with her so I could keep an eye on her. She is still breeding but on a very small scale now and she is breeding yorkiepoos. They seem to be a little sturdier that yorkie babies so I am a bit relieved. One of these days I will convince her to stop. She is going with this guy now that has a huge dog. She said that if they decide to live together she would get rid of all of her little ones except her original yorkie. That one has been her favorite all along and it is obvious so I think that would be ok. Sorry, I think I hijacked the tread! I can get back on topic now. Sigh |
Update...I received a call from the Vet tech that had alerted me about this situation. The Humaine Society finally stepped up to the plate and went over to the Byrd's. I guess they got tired of us complaining and threatening to notify the newspapers et cetera!!!They took the remaining 4 dogs and now have them in their custody. I was also told that all the cages were being taken out of the shed so he cannot house dogs in there ever again. I have talked to some of the people that bought Maltese puppies from them and some are starting to go blind at 6 years old and loosing teeth at a very early age. So sad that people are scammed into buying poor quality puppies and have to spend a fortune for the life time of that dog because of people like this. I have been babysitting one of the female yorkies that was rescues this week while her Mommy is on vacation. Miss MiMi.. she is too cute but still a nervous wreck. She still seems very confused and has no idea what going outside is. It is odd some that we rescued seemed to know how to go outside and others are just clueless. I am thinking maybe at one time he had some of them in his home and others he just left in cages from small pups never socialized. So, hopefully this is the end of this puppy mill and again I want to thank everyone for all your support and help especially my YT buddies Brenda and Bo. |
last ones out of shed. thank goodness Thank goodness the last ones are finally out of there. Those people will pay in the end. It is so sad those poor babies had to live like that. But I am so happy for there new beginning in life. Thank goodness for all the wonderful new parents that took these babies into there homes to give them there new life. Like they say "what comes around goes around". Thanks again Bonnie for everything you did. Bo thanks again for helping me out with the ones I fostered. If I can help in the future please let me know. |
