| Does anyone have a small backyard pool for their yorkies? We just came back from a vacation at a lake and found out that Jamie loves to swim. I was thinking about getting a backyard portable pool like you get for toddlers but am concerned that Jamie's nails would puncture it. Does anyone have any experience with this? |

| Yep - we get one every year. I don't know if we like it better than them but we get one. Actually, my Max loves it without the water! lol! He likes to rub on it and the noise it makes when he chases my hand (that he can't see). They're great - just have to make sure you clean them and rinse any cleaner off of them - really well. Hope fun & post pictures!!

| Oops - no problems with the nails but we get the hard plastic one - not the blow up kind.

| I have a hard plastic wading pool for my golden retrievers. They love it and no, their nails do not puncture it.

| We have two wading pools for Neo, (Connor wants nothing to do with water, lol!) both the hard plastic kind one a little bigger and deeper than the other. As far as cleaning them --The best thing I have found is Simple Green. It is non toxic and biodegradable. |

| I bought a hard plastic wading pool for my 2 pups. They love it! I also bought a fountain sprinkler that I put in the middle of this pool. My Pom pup loves the sprinkler! This pool has been great for the hot days we have been having. When I have taken them outside for potty we also have play time in the pool to cool off. |

| we just got the hard plastic one. They're not quite sure about it but I think they are figuring out it cools them off. They can jump out of it when they are done.

| We have 2 of the small plastic pools. My son's Boston Terrier "digs" in one to splash water up on his belly to cool himself off. It is a funny sight. The other two just run through it.

| Mine are just the small wading ones from Wal-Mart. My kids use to play in them last year but now they prefer the sprinkler or the slipin slide. Good Luck

| We just got the plastic one from wal-mart, I would not go with the inflatable ones. Merlin is not quite sure yet if he likes it or not but once he has figured out that it will cool him down he will be fine.

| I have got the hard plastics kiddie pool. Bubba loves it-Sissy could care less, she drinks out of it. Bubba will scratch at it when he wants water in it. After you fill it he lays down in there. Silly dog.

| My dad has a big inground pool at his house, and we visit a whole lot in the summer. 3x a week recently. So Jackson gets to do a TON of swimming over there. But for our regular house, I was thinking of buying him a small plastic pool... he loves to just lay out in the water in the sun.

OP, I would get the hard plastic kind so you don't have to worry about holes. I had one a few yrs. ago but Maddie wanted nothing to do with it. | |
