| ![]() I think I need a small please....when is orientation?? Okay, to be honest, if I found a yorkie in need I cannot guarantee I would pass him/her up. My husband may want to strangle me for a few days but I am sure he would be head over heels in no time.

| ![]() Oh, in the handbook, it's not orientation, it's called disorientation. you've already met that requirement. disorient your dh and it is a done deal!!!

| ![]() Aw gotta love them, can't fight it. Yorkies are angels, instead of wings they've got fur. So small, but their hearts sooo big!

| ![]() My hubby and I were just talking about it this morning. These little dogs sure steal your heart and bring so much joy into your life. They are always looking for love and cuddles. I have two little shadows that follow me around everywhere. If one can't get close enough to me they lay ontop of each other! ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() LOL!! I started out over 20 years ago in the Cocker Spaniel world. I mentored with a lady and eventually she trusted me with a pup to strut in the ring. I stayed with Cockers until one day this little Yorkie came strutting over to my grooming table and stole my heart away. This little girl commanded attention and had a hairem of followers in her trails....I became one. 12 years ago I purchased my first yorkie and she had my heart from day one. Now as a breeder of Yorkies I will tell you each one tugs at your heart strings when you let them go to their new homes....some you just watch leave and silently weep later, some leave and you grin knowing that that was the home for that baby, and once in a while one leaves and you are a blubbering fool the whole time (more often than I care to mention) ![]() So welcome to the Yorkie club...like Lays potato chips..you can't have just one!! ![]() |

Oh Dear Lord don't tell my hubby that! We are (or should I say were big dog folks),my ascent into Yorkie love, started innocently enough. I was going to my trainer with our big boy Magic, and she breds and also trains Yorkies. Well after almost three years of watching them work, play, their fearless personality, their joi de vivre, one of her little girls just jumped up into my lap oneday gave me hugs n kisses, settle down for a good nap. I got "bit"-after all I wanted an agility dog, why not a Yorkie? Hubby thought I was nutso. After we got our pup, we spent almost three months in mild to moderate panic we would hurt that little tyke. We learnt the Yorkie shuffle. Hubby who says No dogs on furniture, no dogs on the bed, no sissy wussy clothes for him, no treating him like a "small dog", has been the Worst spoiler around. I even have pics in my album to prove it. Razz climbs up on the bed with him, he picks Razz up to "put him on his lap" ahem, razz sleeps on the couch, and Dad's best leather chair with only his head on Dad's lap. The other day I caught him with Razz on his lap at the kitchen table, feeding him a treat!. As far as clothes go, he has now learnt to wrap Razz, put on his wrapping jacket, in winter time his booties, and his winter jacket. He even said to me, hon is summertime now, I think Razz has grown out of his jacket, look for some sales on winter stuff and get him some more clothes! He even said well the next Yorkie we get..... I had my mouth open, he thinks Razz should have a playmate more his size!. that will have to wait until we have our country property though. I love my big dogs, and I thought I could have only one heart dog in my life, but Razz has proven that thought completely wrong. From one besotted Yorkie owner

| ![]() Gail, I couldn't agree more. I thought we would always be Dane people after we brought Lucy home. She is amazing with our kids and is such a devoted dog. Now I have Piper and I am on the way to having a little boy too. I was just told my husband last night I think I am a small dog convert.

| ![]() Gail, Sounds like an owner that purchased 2 pups from me 2 years ago. They came to purchase a little girl for the wifes birthday..well... Mr. 6 foot 6 hubby was all talk about little dogs..yappers.. I believe he said. Within an hour of listening to me go over all the dos and donts one more time to the wife with her little Pebbles...in walks male pups "Bam Bam". Well I am sure you have all figured it out, but Bam Bam went home with them also. I tried to educate on the difficulties of housebreaking one let alone 2 little determined terriers..but to no avail. Bam Bam goes everywhere with Steve (he is a truck driver) and protects his truck with his life. Little Pebbles is dressed up everyday and taken to every fancy store that doggies are allowed to go. This happens quite often or a person buys a pup, hubby jokes about the "little rat dog" and within a year, wife or hubby returns to buy a "precious baby"... ![]() So good luck owning just one...not many can resist the temptation.... ![]() |
