I want my 6 month old yorkie to wear a cute little bow! She fights when I try to put them in and then pulls it out and tries to eat it! Any suggestions?! These have been the rubber band bows they put in at the groomers that she can get out...

I have the same problem. Rosie keeps her bow in for less than 24 hours. My groomer tried different ones but we haven't found any that she can't get out. I love her wearing bows but she isn't having any part of it. I take her picture before she gets the bow out but that is as good as it gets. Good luck on finding one that works.

The best thing to do is to start with a topknot with a little latex band only and let her get used to that before you add a bow. Give her a long lasting chew or a Kong to distract her after you've done her topknot.

Are you using the little latex grooming bands that you only have to wrap around once? Making sure they are not too tight?

my groomer put two bows in pennys hair just like pig tails RAEALLY close to her ears she could not get them out infact mommy had trouble getting em out

I have only tried the bows, so I will look for small bands today and try that..I hope it works!! I think she is just not complete without the signature yorkie bow!!

Ladymom is that your website at the bottom of your page that sells bows? Do you have the rubber bands you are talking about? Or know where to get them?

I wish Claire had enough hair for two bows!! Her hair is really short

This picture was taken yesterday..poor baby has hair in her eyes because it is at such a weird place!

Have you tried the bows with a clip attached? they may work better as I find them quicker to put in.. So there isn't as much struggling

I have but I think she is just not used to anything up there! haha She pulls it out almost right after I get it in!!

It should grow longer with a little more time. The hair around the eyes can be very annoying. I try to keep Emma and Dawson's cut short around the eye area which is also a challenge when they squirm. Since I started cutting it their eyes do not tear up anymore.

I thought about getting the groomer to trim it but I wasn't sure how it would look since it was SLOWLY growing. Any grooming tips would be GREAT!! We need the help

I usually groom and bathe my two myself. There is a grooming forum on YT. You may be able to find some good tips there. Good Luck!
