| To all of you Houston YT'rs I just want to let everyone know what an amazing place you have there in Houston! About a month ago DH and I had our girl Halo at the Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. What a fantastic place! After dealing with my local vets (5 in all) they couldn't come up with a diagnosis for my 3 yr. old girl. She started out a whopping 14.5 lbs (yeah, my lil teapot ) and within 2 months time she had lost down to a little over 9 lbs. One of the vets suggested this place in Houston. We got an appointment almost immediately and were on our way. Houston is a 4 hr. drive for us. After a lot of testing, it was determined that Halo had Addison's Disease. She has to have a DOCP injection every 25 days, along with .25 ml prednisone daily. She got her first shot in Houston, and it was obvious when it was time for the next one. She refuses to eat and gets very agressive toward one of my males. Once she got her 2nd shot (which can be given by my local vet), all was back to normal. I just want to say again how fortunate I feel to have gotten my baby to this wonderful place......we would have driven twice that far! I would recommend Gulf Coast Vet Specialist to anyone. It was described to me as the St. Judes for animals........and it is all that!

| I live in Katy, drive down the street and you will be in Houston. I've never had to go GCVS but I have heard it's the best. When/if Buster ever needs surgery for his LP that is where it will be done.
