| Is Wolfie a bully? Today Wolfie met another puppy... a slightly larger Scotty. Well, he came on very strong and Wolfie did not take kindly to his bum being lifted by the other fellow's nose so he went a lil nutso on him. He was fine with him after he backed off. At the time I thought good for you lil buddy, he was not respecting your space but now I wonder. |

| NOOOOOOO I bet he was just taken off guard! As you socialize him with new dogs...just stay close to him and watch his body language and you will know when you have to remove him of a bad situation. just be on alert ...sometimes you never know how OTHER dogs will act |

| Doesn't sound like a bully to me. My vet and the trainer both called Maggie a bully, within the same week, and they don't know each other. Maggie is a lot more rougher than yours is.

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Neh my older dog does this too she HATES having her butt sniffed off other dogs. Maybe it's like people... some people are more touchy feely then others where as some people don't really like to be touched at all? Jess is deffo a dog which likes to keep her butt private

Thor's Human Donating Member | Unwillingness to take a butt sniff is actually a sign that the dog needs more socialization. This is like a handshake for people, so try to encourage your dog to get used to it. You can feed your dog a treat while the other dogs gets a sniff. OTOH, some dogs really stick their nose up there, which is rude. If your dog is getting a rectal exam, it's okay for him to object.

| lol I think he thought the scotty was giving him a rectal : ) Any other dogs he has met have been more polite about it and he was fine but this lil fella really lifted his bum up : ) He will be 14 wks tomorrow so we are working on the socialization part full steam ahead. Thank you everyone for your opinion |
