Donating YT 30K Club Member | Pixie is half way thru her LP confinement!! We have survived the first 3 week post LP surgery. Pixie has been much better than I thought about being confined. She doesn't like it too much at night, so when she wakes me up I switch up her sleeping place. Roxie has been so good about spending a lot of time with Pixie in her confinement. Pixie is in bad need of a bath but I have to call and ask when I can give her one. She is walking pretty good on her leg so I am hopeful she will make a full recovery. You can see in the first picture she is sticking her tongue out at me! lol

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Go Pixie-girl! She is so stinkin' cute - I love how you cut the front of her hair...how do you do that without it looking choppy? So, is Pixie staying busy with chews...and do you have any new ones we should try?

| Pixie looks so adorable and so does Roxie! I'm so glad you are at the halfway mark. It feels so good to get to the halfway mark and then the worst is behind you. I'm thankful she is doing good. She's such a little cutie!

| I'm so happy that Pixie is almost done with her confinement and recovering well. I wish I could say the same about Lila! I CAN NOT confine her for the life of me! The little bugger makes a rucous in her cage, jumping, throwing herself against it, running around! She spends more time outside of her cage than in it because I'm afraid she'll destroy the surgery with her craziness. The only way I can get her to rest is if I baby-gate her in an area and leave my house for hours.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | You're doing a great job Patti, I'm sure this can't be easy - Pixie looks nice and comfy. I'll bet you'll both be glad when this is over and she's back to her old self!

Thanks everyone. I never thought I would get Pixie to settle down in a crate, it helps having her buddy with her and switching up between a crate, rabbit ex pen and play yard. I have found that when I am gone she just sleeps. I thought I would be house confined too!! Luckily DH is home all the time too.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Her little tongue picture is so cute. I feel so bad for owners who have to keep their dogs confined, but it sounds like you are handling it great. I hope she makes a speedy and complete recovery.
