| Snoodles went Fishing Snoodles went fishing with us yesterday to the lake. It was a beautiful day here in the 70's. Usually in the 40's this time of year. Well, anyway, no one else was at the lake, so I could let her run and play. She kept gaetting in the water by herself which really surprised me. Ran all over the place smelling everything she could, and I swear left her mark at least 100 times. She never quit all day, but boy! did she sleep when we got home. AS big herd of elk came down right across from us and it was a beautiful sight to see. She sure needed a bath today, though. Little rug rat! Pat |

| Sounds great! Where do you live? We have elk around us too. We live in the mountains in California. Our elk were planted here, tho, along with antelope. |

| I was wondering where you live too - that sounds idyllic - fishing and watching elk - my husband would be in heaven - and me too!!! Rowdy has been fishing and will be going lots more in his little life (I hope!). He's my husband's dog and my husband would be fishing everyday, if he felt better (he has some chronic health problems). Rowdy will be going fishing with my husband if he evers recovers enough to feel like going regularly. That must have been a great day for you all - I'm envious!

| I live in Butte, Montana. We do have lots of wild life around us. One day a moose came into my yard if you can believe that? Another time, we had two small bears up out telephone pole. And, yes I live in the city. We are however surrounded by mountains. My brother lives 10 min from town, and elk and deer and mountain goats abound on his piece of property. Surprises me about elk in California. Never knew they were there. This herd was about 25 or 30 elk. I gave the elk cow call, and it never phased them. They were talking to each other and it was really neat! Pat |

| My husband and I spent a night in Butte this summer on our way from Yellowstone to Vancouver. We did see lots of game in the Wyoming/Montana area. You live in a wonderfully rural area - yes, even though you live in the city, I love the rural feel of your state. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

| Thanks Rowdy's Mom. My husband has lots of health problems too. We have a boat, but he hasn't felt good enough to get it ready and launch it. But I was so happy just to get out again and feel the fresh air and watch the wild life. You came a long way from Texas. We moved to Denver for a few years, but I couldn't stand the big town. It drove me nuts. Took so long to go any where. I couldn't stand the traffic. Couldn't wait to move back. We had lots and lots of company this summer, even my cousins from Ireland came and stayed 3 weeks. They get long vacations there. My husband said "Why doesn't anyone ever come and visit us in the winter"? Ha! Pat |
