| BACK, with some questions & Updates! Hello All, How is everyone. Sorry I disapeared for awhile since there was just so much drama I wanted to get away for a little. UPDATES... My baby is a little over 5 months old and he is weights 2.6lbs and has stayed at that weight for a month now. When do they stop growing? He has also lost his 4 bottom teeth and the new teeth are starting to grow in. How many teeth are they suppose to loose? As some of you know my man was deployed when he bought DJ for me so I raised him up on my own potty trained him and everything. As soon as my man gets back home (a week ago) the dog has fallen inlove with him. When we are both sitting on the couch he always goes to him, sits on him...gives him kisses. He does not pay much attention to me anymore and that hurts my feeling. The reason why I got a boy dog is because I heard they get attached to their mommy. So Im a bit disapointed in that. When my man is no around of course DJ just settles for me since their is no one is home. Its sad. Has this happend to anyone? Hope all is well with everyone!! |

| Glad to hear your pup is doing well. Growth is individual to each dog. Both my boys had growth spurts at 6 months and 11 months, adding a full pound each time. Many Yorkies continue to fill out a little until age 2, adding a few ounces. Attachments -- my boys adore mommy, but they love their grandpa just about as much. When my brothers visited from out of town, Max was fascinated with them. |

Could be because now that daddy is home, it's something new and exciting for DJ. I know when we have guests or company over my dogs ALL are attached at the hip to whoever is over. They will sleep in the bed with them and so on. Someone new to pet them, someone new to get attention from. Give it some time and I'm sure he will be right back to loving mama again. Their like babies, kids always wanna get away from their parents sometimes and get away with stuff with another relative. | |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Puppies have 28 teeth and will lose all of these. An adult dog has 42 teeth. I'd say he still has some growing to do. Frazier weighed 2.3 at 5 months and now weighs 4.7. There is usually a growth spurt between 6 and 9 months and some "filling out" around a year old. I have one momma's boy but if hubby's around...the dogs follow him.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Welcome back, NatNatt, and thanks for the update. Your avatar is adorable. Have you considered doing any obedience training with him?

| I have a mommas boy too but he gets in his moods... Sometimes all he wants is his daddy. It all depends on his mood! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Actually that's a good thing, some yorkies are so protective, that they won't let the man near mama, so you should be happy that DJ is so accepting of your man. It sounds like he's a well socialized dog, and you should feel proud of yourself. Let them have their time, they are both secure in your love, and want to be loved by your other love.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | He will probally come back. I would say it is new to him. My boys are momma boys but they do like their daddy also. I am glad because sometimes I am busy and it is good they will let other people care for them.

| My 2 boys actually had growth spurts at 15 months old! They had their shots at 12 months and one was 6.2lbs and the other 4.6lbs. Fletcher shot up to 9lbs and Dexter to 5.5lbs. They stayed that way until this year when Fletcher got fixed, now he is a whopping 12lbs and Dexter has lost some weight and is all of 5lbs! I just never know what my boys are going to weigh month by month and they will be 5 years old in Sept. They are on the same food, same diet for years now. In the winter they can gain a full pound and then lose it in the summer from running around outside. Sounds like your little man is doing wonderful. Glad to hear it. My boys are total momma's boys but sometimes they will go to my boyfriend or his son instead of me. Its heart breaking to me too! LOL

| I don't have a boy, but a little girl. She is a mommy girls, but when my husband is around it is always playtime with him. If we are watching TV he'll come and pick her up and 2 seconds later she is right back at my side. Sleeping is a different matter. She hugs his side all night long. Don' give up likes other have said your man is new to him and just wants to check things out.

Dog's sense things and probaly knows he's gonna be leaving again. They know who the pack leader is. You'll get all your kisses don't fret |
