| All has been well the last few nights. I just have to be stern with her. I noticed that when she sees us....or knows we are there she barks more. So I turned her pen....just thought I would try it.....facing the closet. She immediately just went to sleep. I think she didn't see us and decided it was a lost cause. She gets up in teh middle of the night for a potty break and then gets up when my husband goes to wrk. She has done AWESOME! Last night she didn't even whimper and went in her crate herself! Thanks for all the help |

She actually loves her crate. She did a little bit of crying her first 2 nights and we ignored her and that was the end of that. Her crate is her safe place. When she is in there she doesn't have to worry about what is going on outside...she can just rest. I would just ignore her cries...if you want to keep her crated at night. She will calm down. Make her crate comfortable by putting an old sheet or blanket in there so she can make a comfy nest to sleep in. Also never use her crate for punishment...it is just a place to sleep. Good luck | |
