Btw, where did you get that long rope? I have a 50 foot nylon leash for Jackson but on the beach it gets really heavy when drenched in sand and water for him to pull around. That yellow rope looks so much lighter!

LOL... we have to meet you guys soon! No more major travel plans for the summer, just work travel here and there... so we should be able to get down there. If they have the beach open, Remy may do a bit better with water now. He still does not love it, but is more tolerant. Jackson may be able to coerce him in

Rope was $12.99 at PetSmart. It is very light (important for travel) and easy to wash off.

What wonderful photos!! Looks like a great trip ! When we travel to Negril, Jamaica for two weeks in November Sophie will have to stay home because of the two week quarantine requirement there. It will be the first time she won't be traveling with us . Does St .Barths not have a quarantine law for dogs entering their country?

Thanks, I've never seen a 50ft rope at Petsmart-- usually they are all shorter. I will go take a look this weekend.

PS- the beach is, unfortunately, not open. I've been taking Jackson near my aunt's house in Pasadena (trying to once a week anyways) for the beach.

That stinks regarding the Jamaica quarantine requirement....Sophie would love it! I've never been to Jamaica, but it's on my list!

St Barths follows the EU (France)... no quarantine... to be honest they barely look at your passport

I was in the PetSmart in Timonium... It was the aisle with all of the training leads, and the ones that can be anchored into the ground. Initially I found one that was a cable that was 50ft, and was going to get it, but turned around and found these yellow rope things on the bottom shelf. MUCH lighter, and about half the price. I do not remember the brand and don't have the packaging. I will be up there Sunday I can get you one if you can't find it...

Sounds like we'll have to give St. Barths a try Yeah, it is disappointing we can't bring Sophie. She really likes the water. In Jamaica a tourist can't stay for longer than two weeks without a work permit or visa. I guess it's because it's so great there they are afraid no one would leave . Definitely give it try
