| Sad story, but good ending San Bernardino County sheriff's Deputy Christine Kirby testified at Justin Joost's preliminary hearing Tuesday that the puppy was thrown at the train on April 3, then the wounded animal crawled after her owner, dragging her bleeding, broken. Prosecutors say a Hesperia man is facing trial for animal cruelty for allegedly throwing a puppy at a moving train. San Bernardino County sheriff's Deputy Christine Kirby testified at Justin Joost's preliminary hearing on Tuesday that the puppy was thrown at the train on April 3, then the wounded animal crawled after her owner, dragging her bleeding, broken leg. Joost headed back to his Mojave Desert home. Victorville Superior Court Judge Christopher Marshall ruled there was enough evidence to order the 26-year-old Joost to trial. Deputy Public Defender Raymon Hallard says Joost faces up to three years in prison if convicted. The husky mix, named Gracie's Chance by her new owner, lost a leg but is recovering. Isn't it really sad that the puppy still wanted her owner to love her? |

| That is HEARTBREAKING Unbelieveable...... The cruel owner should have been thrown in prison or at another train.

| They aren't people - they are monsters. And I agree with 2Morikies - throw them against a train. At least they could fight against their attacker. A poor little dog is just at the monster's mercy. |
