| names When I got my first yorkie 6 years ago I was in the same boat, what name to give my dog. I was told get a book go online wait the dog will name itself, Well he sure didnt name himself. I was on the phone with my friend his assistant was going out to get him lunch, and my friend forgot to ask for something so he screamed FIFE into the phobe I said what he said oh I was talkng to Mark, anyway his name was fife like barney not fee fee that people think it is when they look at it quickly, anyway thats how I named him, when I got my second yorkie I called my friend asked what the names of the other people in the office were,, he said gowen smith ,, then he said shaffer, I said Oh I love it ,, shaffer it is. My fife was a wonderful dog, I needed to put him down just yesterday a very hard thing to do but this forum has helped me remember the good times so thanks and good luck with your new puppy. A name you love will come. |

| I am particulary fond of Belle, Coco (as in Coconut but original intent was Coco Chanel), & Pickles. You have received some great suggestions, some of my favorites: Spoggy Puddin Gracie Lou I would like to suggest: Olive Duchess Martini (we briefly had a Martini...love the name)

| I do like Pippa! And on a personal note - people, please do not name your dog Molly. I cannot tell you how many times a day I hear "oh, that is my dog's name"

| Happy to see all of the support for Abby (Abigail). We will be getting our new baby two weeks from today and that is the leading name in our list. Unfortunately I have 23 names I REALLY like. |
