| Haircut for Lexy? Last night, I trimmed Lexy's hair and she looks sooooo much better! I actually did a pretty good job too! Here is my question. Andy (Hubby) and I are thinking of cutting her hair short for the winter so she can wear all her pretty sweaters and coats without getting all matted. I'd let it grow back long though. She just HATES being combed and when whe gets matted it is so miserable for her. I also thought it would take off the rest of her puppy hair and maybe her more adult hair wouldn't mat quite as much when it grows back. What do y'all think?

| As long as she will keep the sweaters on it would be OK. But you have really cold winters, so I would make sure. I give Princess the puppy coat every summer because it's so hot here.

| Just my opinion .... It is better to have a Yorkie with a short coat than one with a long matted one . If you have sweaters , it is ok to have her coat short . |

| I don't let her stay matted of course, but it is a lot of work for me and a lot of misery for her to keep it tangle free. I think it is just her puppy hair that is the problem.

| I am a huge fan of short hair! Simon and Hallie always have short hair and they wear thsirts inside and their sweaters/coats outside! Simon hates to be brushed too so for me it is much easier to put a coat on him than fight with him for hours to be brushed! I think the short cuts are just as cute as the long and though I envy those with long hair, I just can't keep up with it Wexy, get yur hair cut wike mine, my mama says it's bootiful! Wuv, Hawwie Whatcha doin today? wanna come ober and pway? |

| I actually just cut off Laila's hair for the winter. I thought it was a little too short at first, but after a few days I got use to the new do, and loved it. It also cleaned up the tips of her fur, as she still had the black tips from her baby hair. Now she runs around in her nice, warm sweatshirts and loves life. I figured she deserved a break from grooming, and she was happy with that decision too, haha.

| Go for it! As long as she has some warm sweaters and a blanket in the house to stay warm, what the heck, cut her hair short!! I think I'm going to keep Bell's hair short from now on, its just too difficult to keep matted free with her cotton coat. And she has become such a tomboy lately!

| I'm thinking about a Schnauzer cut, keeping her ponytail.

| I bet little Wexy will be soooo much happier with shorter hair!!!! I love them woth shorter hair, but not too short like Luigi right now!!!! I keep him shorter too, mainly because he hates to be brushed too! But Brasco on the other hand loves to be brushed! He falls asleep when I brush him, so I am going to grow his out long and see how long I can get it!!!!! So cut her short! She will be happy and so will you! And it gives you a reason to shop for some really cute yorkie sweaters!!!! Hi my Wexy! I miss you and I wuv yu!!!!! Have yu been a good gurl lately? I haff been in wots of twouble lately! Oops! And a few weeks ago, I had to get stitches on da lower part of my lip. Well!!! I wuv yu!!!!! Bwasco!

| Coats help alot - so go ahead and cut her. Plus she'll be free of mates - which is hard to control. Katie |
