Patti...what sweet pictures and I truly believe that letting them be close will help Pixie to heal more quickly. Isn't it amazing how her breathing is normal after having Roxie snuggle with her. The kiss picture is so precious too. This thread just made my day! *HUG*

Those pictures are just darling! I wish I could have an unlimited number of dogs. Glad to hear Pixie is doing ok. I think about her all the time and look forward to reading all of your posts.

Those pics are so cute. It is so amazing that dogs know when something is wrong and just want to cuddle so the other feels better.

Thanks all. I can't wait to get the play yard I ordered so they can all lay comfortably together. Last night all 3 were in the little crate and I had to take one of them out as I was afraid one of them would sit on Pixie's leg. I am so blessed that they all get along.

Pixie will take a few steps and stand on her own for a minute or two but she prefers to be in the crate. Which is so not like her. I know that soon enough she will be hard to confine.
She seems depressed to me, but that could be me putting my feelings on her. Thanks for asking.

I wish I could offer some kind of help. I would assume that after I had surgery, I too would want to lay down and just take it easy. While I have no experience with this kind of surgery, I'm surprised she can even stand on her own and take a few steps. That to me sounds really great.

I just ran to Petsmart and bought a little x pen for rabbits and guinea pigs. It is perfect to keep in the kitchen so when I am in there I can keep her confined. She can eat in there without the others bothering her. It is so portable I just brought it into my room and she is laying on a blanket in it. This way she can get more air and be more out in the open.
