Pixie is in surgery...please pray
 
Patti just called me to let me know about the visit with the surgeon this morn. Pixie's leg is so bad and definitely needed surgery, so Patti left Pixie there to have her done today. If she didn't get the surgery, Pixie would be in pain and most likely tear her ACL and then it would be harder to fix. The knee could be popped in, but there were no grooves to hold it in.

While we were talking on the phone, Pixie's surgeon called to say she is already under and they will be doing the surgery now. Patti is not at home, so I told her I would post. Please pray for sweet little Pixie! Thank you!

Patti, lots of prayers and hugs coming to you and Pixie! It sounds like her poor little leg was in bad shape. Thank goodness they could fit her in so soon. I pray for a full, fast recovery for Pixie.

Sending prayers for Pixie. I hope she does well with the surgery and has a speedy recovery. Praying for Patti too, this has to be so stressful for her. Thanks for posting for her. You are a good friend, and I am sure she appreciates it.

Lots of good thoughts and prayers going out for little Pixie. There are wonderful ortho vets in Chicago so I am sure she is in very good hands. :)

Thanks everyone. And to Connie for always being my rock. I haven't heard back yet, but she did say the procedure itself was about 45 minutes so I am hoping to hear soon. I just hope and pray I made the right decision. I am also scared about the 6 weeks aftercare. I know with your prayers and thoughts we can get through this. Thanks to LadyJane for her input on LP.
