| How could anyone say anything nasty about your darling Pixie?!? What kind of man picks on any dog? Why are people so competitive about pets? If I may invoke a tired cliche: the more I get to know people, the more I love my dogs. YT members excluded, of course. Joyce and Pixie, forget about those guys. They aren't worth your time. |

Oh, I know you didn't! I just had to reply to the ignorant comment that was made in your thread but I know you didn't say anything against Pits! Like I said, those guys were IDIOTS! I don't know how anyone could say anything so rude to anybody's dog! I would have given him a piece of my mind.

| I stand by my comment. I have seen first hand the absolute carnage a "well behaved and lovingly raised" pitbull can cause. They are inbred monsters with a thirst for bloodlust, plain and simple. My nephew's pit, that never showed any aggression and was raised with absolute loving kindness tried to viciously attack his newborn daughter,( WHILE SHE SLEPT IN HER CRIB ),the day after they brought her home from the hospital. When my nephew intervened the dog turned it's rage on him only stoping after my nephew's friend bashed the dog's head with a shovel. It was the most horrific thing I've ever witnessed. My nephew had to get over 100 stitches. Does someone want to seriously tell me a Yorkie or ANY other breed of dog would have done that.Look at the statistics. Pitbulls are responsible for far more attacks than any other breed. There isn't even a close 2nd. Look it up.I'm sorry if I've offended anyone but I'll never change my mind. BTW the animal control officer that came said the same type of incident happend quite often and 100% of the time the offending dog...A Pitbull.

Yes, many breeds are capable of and have severely and fatally harmed newborns and toddlers. My parents dachshund jumped in my brother's bassinet and tried to hurt him because he was jealous that he had been replaced. The dog was rehomed with a close family friend. Another example: my family's highly trained, very friendly Airedale hated human babies. We had no idea until she went after our neighbor's baby in a stroller. Luckily we stopped her before she touched the baby. Great care needs to be taken with babies/toddlers and any dog.

| I love the quote from, "The Dog Whisperer." "There aren't bad dogs, just bad owners." I think the guy who said that about Pixie is a perfect example. I think it's bad to cuss in public anyway. You did a good job handling yourself and defending your dogs, and it was good that you didn't stoop to his level and say something bad about the Pits. |

I think if a newborn baby was attacked by any type of dog, pit bull, yorkie ,poodle whatever the results would be awful no matter what type of dog. I have seen responsible pit bull owners and responsible yorkie owners. But there are bad owners of all breeds out there, pit bulls just happen to rank at the top of being owned by idiots. I myself am TERRIFIED of Rotties, because I was ALMOST attacked by one when I was younger. Was it the dogs fault? Nope it was the dummy who owned him, thought it was funny that he was so vicious and never tried to train the dog to be well behaved. The poor dog was eventually put down, and of course what did the resident dummy do, he got another rottie..Its a vicious cycle of idiot owners. The dogs are the ones that suffer.

Yes, SCREW THOSE INSECURE GUYS!! But, I disagree that pitbulls are "God's biggest mistake". Pitbulls' bad reputation is because of irresponsible owners that train them to fight or didn't properly train them. I most definitely think they could be just as good babies as yorkies. To the OP, your baby is GORGEOUS!!! It's sooo hot in CA that I can't dress my babies in their outfits...I would have stuck up for my babies too

You're right, Joyce...that was terrible of that guy to call Pixie what he did. He probably thought he was impressing his friend by talking that way.
