| You Won't Believe What Emma Has Done!!! So this morning I let Emma out and came back in the house to do some pickling, after a couple hours I went out to call her in and could not believe what I found. There she was, inside an empty box that I had put out on the front porch this morning. I tried to coax her out of the box for about 5 mins and nothing doing she refused to come out, finally I went over and picked her up and to my amazement found what looked like 5 newborn puppies. You can imagine my surprise since I knew there was no way she could have had those puppies. I called my husband and he came back to the house and informed me that those were newborn BUNNIES!!!! Emma has had one litter before and was not the most attentive mom and I actually had not planned on breeding her again. I guess Emma thought she could do a better job than their mother but now I have no idea where their den is. We called a friend of ours who raises rabbits and my husband has gone to deliver the bunnies to a surrogate mom. Emma looks so lost without them and keeps crying to go back out. I guess I'm going to have to go buy her a new stuffed baby. |

| OMG....I was going to say how could you not know your baby was expecting until the surprise ending. That is sweet and sad at the same time. Poor little Emma wanting to be a mommie to a litter of bunnies and a bunny mommie out there somewhere hunting her babies.

| LOL.. I was thinking the same thing how could I have not known! Emma is a month late for her heat cycle and I check her twice a day, so I could not figure out what in the world had happened. We moved days before she was due to go into heat so I figure the stress has caused her to be late but when I saw the bunnies I was scarred to death I had missed it somehow. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Awwwww, this is so sweet! It's too bad you couldn't find the Mama bunny, but I honestly don't know how you would have...? And who knows, maybe they were abandoned or Mama wasn't alive anymore. So sweet of Emma to adopt these babies.

| Awww, what a sweet story! It always amazes me how strong the mothering instinct is! I've heard of dogs raising kitten and tigers, all sorts of animals. It just brings tears to my eyes..... |
