I was following up on a craigslist ad that is no longer there about a yorkie and this lady is a landlord and her tenant was put in jail for too many DUI. His family told her to take the dogs. She has 6 but one ran away. These people were breeding them. SHe has 4 females and 1 male. Two of the females are really small she says and one is larger possible pregnant. I was tying to get all of them but she first said she wanted to be compensated for her time and a friend told her she could get 200-500 per dog. AS we continued to talk she said she wanted $500 or $600 per dog. I told her I would not pay that much for a dog without papers and not having any history on the dogs and the fact they were kenneled and used for breeding and she is ok with that. These are not even her dogs she does not care what happens to them . These dogs are not fixed. I tried to educate her but she just is interested in the money. I am so upset. I wish I could buy them all and find good homes. She sounds so ignorant. URGH!!!!

Isn't that illegal? I mean, if they were taken they could go to a shelter.. I'm sure they'd get better care at a shelter than with her.. It's hard to just drop 500-600 dollars.. Especially if you're unsure about the health of the pups..

I guess the family members said they did not want them and she could do whatever she wanted so i guess techinically they are hers. I did e-mail her back. I told her I would like to see pictures that I have friends that might be interested in the dogs and maybe I could help her find good homes. Maybe if people are interested we could make an offer and take them all off her hands at once. It is just a thought. I hope she will even reply. She did not seem all there when I talked to her.

She didn't seem all there? that's frightening...

I just hope she won't up the price if there's a bunch of phone calls. If she's that money hungry she'll just keep going up..

I have a knot in my stomach after talking to her. Her number is not listed on the ad and I think the ad was delated cause I can't find it. When I called I asked what she wanted for the dogs and she asked me what did the ad say? I told her nothing so that is when she started changing the price. She did not even have a clue that she told me two different prices in the same call. She is scary. I fear for these dogs.
