Thanks everyone! I'll keep you all posted of course! |
ide break my neck trying to go to my dog and you took care of there baby take the money and get one of your own you earned it maybe ask them now what are they going to do with the puppy they put the deposit on? |
Good luck! I hope everything turns out for the best for Molly. Wait till you meet the lady in person. She may have been duped before, so she's being cautious when it comes to Molly. I hope everything turns out for the best! |

Well, no go on buying her...She just called me again. I asked her and she begged me not to keep the dog from her. She said it's a family dog and that she'll give me $100 for my inconvience. I still don't trust the lady, but I won't go back on my original pledge to find her owner. |
You can't go back on your word of finding her owner...but ask what they are planning to do about the puppy. Just hold onto the thought that everything happens for w reason. If my brother and his wife would have kept the golden they never would have gotten Clyde their mini labradoodle who is the absolute love of their lives. Some lucky pup will get the privilege of having you for an owner so just hold on to the fact that somewhere out there your baby is waiting for you! Wasn't this one but it wasn't meant to be! Never works out to force things that aren't meant to be! Give her back and know that you took the best care of her and that you did a good thing by reuniting dog and owner! Hang in there and keep us posted when you find your forever baby! :-) |

Anyway... you are doing what is right by returning her to her owners, we can only hope for the best for her and obviously for you... good things will come to you for all you have done for this little one! |
When you advertised that you had found a dog, did you mention that she was dressed and what it looked like? I'm with the others: if one of mine had gone missing, I'd be on the road before you could hang up the phone. Perhaps she had reasons, but I'm not sure. Maybe she'll get there and Molly *isn't* hers! You should know by the way Molly reacts to her. In any event, best wishes to you. I know it will break your heart ... |

I know this won't make me popular but it sounds to me like you would like to be able to find a reason not to give her back to the owner and I can totally understand that, but the truth is the woman was apparently still looking for her dog or you two wouldn't have ended up talking to each other. She may not handle things exactly as some of us would but most people don't raise their children the way I would like either. Be happy that you saved her from possible harm and that you got to enjoy her for 2 1/2 weeks and that you might possibly get to see her in the future. You have done an admirable thing. |
take the money and use it toward a pup of your own |
I just wanted to say I can understand why you would be sad.. but honestly.. EVERYONE is different.. we all react differently and that is what makes the world so wonderful. It would be so boring if everyone was the same. I am sure the owner LOVES her dog VERY much! SHE didn't put the dog on the hood of a car and forget her. It was her boyfriend.. and I imagine she is probably majorly pissed at him. How many of us have spouses, boyfriends, children, etc who do NOT care for our babies in the same way we do? Try not to judge her.. she is the dogs owner and deserves to get her back. I hope that you will be able to get your own baby VERY soon. YOU deserve that too! |
Just wanted to say that Tedomom has a rehome offer on another thread. She has a puppy she can no longer take care of......just another thought when one door closes another one opens....I know your sad, but you really are doing the right thing and Molly is very greatful. Hopefully Molly will be really happy to see her family and that will make you feel better. :) |
