Wow what a scae! Im glad you knew what to do. I would probably be in such a panic I wouldnt know what to do so Ive written it down and put it with my first aide stuff. Im gad Marcel is okay now. Best wishes

what a horrific scare...good to hear Marcel has bounced back...thank you for the reminder and the post, I don't know how to do pet first aid but will now be learning.

Ann, I am so glad that Marcel is okay. I know it was a horrifying experience for Marcel and you. I give mine the C.E.T. chews also and I have never had a problem but it does worry me when the chews get to a smaller size. I will try to take the chews away from them once the chews start getting to small.

Do you mean the 2 threads from the Sick/ER Section? If so, yes, I can definitely put them (make a copy) in The Library as well. Thank you for suggesting this! :)

I mean- the Heimlich Maneuver is already in the library, but perhaps the rescue breathing and First Aid training would be of bennefit in addition as an Emergency First Aid thread? :) Hope that made some sort of sense. :p

Ann, will you post the link to the Red Cross as well? I bet a lot of people (like me) don't know that you can get Pet CPR training there.

I didn't have any specific threads in mind, but the CPR would be great copy for the library. I was more thinking of adding the resuce breathing with the Heimlich and posting the link to the First Aid training. If they saved your baby I think they're worth posting. :)

OMG! Thank goodness he is okay thanks to some very quick thinking on your part. I don't even want to imagine. Please give him a little extra love today, though I'm sure you have that covered already. :)

Thank you so much for the reminder, and the link to the Red Cross. It looks like I just missed the most recent pet class in our area, but we will definitely sign up for the next one scheduled. I just printed out fresh copies of CPR/Rescue Breathing and the Heimlich Manuever for pet stickies. Now, I have them in two places around the house.

Just posted a link to the Pet CPR and First Aid Course in the Library. I really do think the class was great. I mean, even though I know how to do CPR on humans...it's just different w/ an animal and I'm *really* beyond grateful I took that class right now!
