Mutt is a term that has been used for YEARS...... that's what most of us grew up with.... I know there are alot of young members here that use "politically correct" terms but you have to also remember that you have us "older" members here as well...that are used to using the "old terms" just my 2cents! |
Your Little Girl is absolutely adorable. Hard to look at her and say I don't think we should mix the breeds. :) I will just have to say my opinion on that when I am not looking into her sweet little face. |

The word "mutt" is a derogatory term - but most especially to those people who would prefer to own only purebred dogs. To less affected people and especially those who have owned mixed breeds most of thier lives, the term "mutt" is a wonderful word - it's a word that best describes the endearing qualities of those friends that have walked beside them through life. The word "mutt" can be used in many different ways. I, personally, only use it to complement my dogs. When I say, "Come here you little mutt," I am saying "I love you - come here and be with me." I'm the one who always calls my Yorkie a little Walt Disney mutt --and, because he is so cute and that's what he looks like to me.....a scruffy darling little mutt. So - obviously - the term "mutt" can be used in many different ways.... Carol Jean |
pics I will post pics as soon as i can, i am hoping she goes soon she is 60 days today she is only having 2 pups according to her x-ray but my husband says different he think 3 pups. This is my first time breeding so any information would be helpful thanks. |
I would probably breed a Yorkie only to another Yorkie..... And my reason is simply - that first of all, I never breed any of my dogs. As soon as they are old enough, they are spayed and neutered. I would breed my Yorkie - only if I were into breeding and showing - which means that I would be dealing with purebreds. To breed any of my dogs - for fun (and unfortunately a lot of people do this) or with another breed --- why would I ever do this! ***** And I am totally absolutely not a "purebred snob." I loved mixed breeds as much as I love purebreds. I just think we should all have a good reason to breed any dog. And - I have never found one for me! Carol Jean |
