| I found a Torkie too. I spent many weeks looking for the owner as well. None came forward in my case...I had many people call for a little girl lost yorkie. This was a boy...I had one call for a nuetered male...no go this guy was still whole. I had the vet working to clear up any infections even before the time was up to find an owner. In my county the Animal Resource Center would have puy a dog with no chip up for adotion in three days...I looked for three weeks before I chipped him. I was still looking after that. Never found an owner but made sure I did the best I could to find one. All the advise here is good. Keep trying...if you find the owner, maybe this little girl paved the way for another. Rescues are a great way to go...there are many out there and many that want love. If you don't you will not feel guilty if she can stay with you. |

| Thank you so much for being a blessing to this little one. I hope that this story has a happy ending and that you too will get a happy ending with your very own Yorkie.

| How very sad. There's a person out there going crazy because their little one is lost. I bet they'll be happy to know she fell into good hands. Keep up the good work OP! I'm sure you'll help her find her way home.

| That is horrible! I can't believe she followed him, he could have cared less, especially when she was nearly hit several times Thank you for saving her. I sure hope she finds her owner as I would be truly devistated if I lost one of my babies. Bless you for saving her.

| Can I suggest that you call some of the veterinarians in the area of the bus stop that you found her at. They may know of someone looking for their long lost friend. I am glad that you found her and are keeping her safe. Good Luck to both of you........ and also hope that if she has some worried owners, that you are able to find them.

| I would think that any little dog wearing a dress certainly has an owner and I would bet just about anything that if they care enough about her to buy clothing they are missing her something terrible. She may have a chip that isn't being picked up by the scanner that was used. I just had Peanut scanned at our vet with 2 different scanners...one is the common scanner that AVID gives to vets and it did not pick up the chip...the second one was a scanner that you have to purchase from AVID and it picks up European chips. Peanut was imported from Germany so the second more advanced scanner read his chip. I believe most shelters and vets use the common scanner. Please see if you can find out if the scanner used will read any and all brands of chips...there are a few...and the European chips. |

| well good luck in finding hte owner, but if you don't, thank you for saving her and i hope that you have a blast with your new puppy should she become yours forever. don't give up for a while, but if you can't find someone after a month or so just let it be your baby. our vet's office sometimes just suggests to try and look, but don't get your hopes up and be prepared to keep her. hope it all works out either way. |

| I didn't see that you ran an add in the lost & found in your local newspaper. By Law you are required to do so. Dogs are considered property so call your local PD and ask them or your local shelter and ask how long you have to run the add as the time varies from state to state. By Law that's all you are required to do and remember while Craigslist is a plus , not everyone has a computer. Also who knows how far this little girl traveled and often when someone has lost a dog they only travel a short distance to look for found signs. |

| Thank you for saving this little girl. It sounds as though you are doing what you can to find her owner. With being dressed, I would guess that she is very much loved. I agree, is there anyway that you can go a bit further out from where you found her? May be the owner was traveling and the dog got out and is from an area that is further away than you think? Best of luck to you.

| So glad you saved this little girl. Sounds like you have checked about a chip and are doing other things to locate her owner as well. Also, I was thinking that the dress could be a clue. Does it have a label? I know some dresses are mass produced, such as the ones that come from Walmart or Target. But, if it has been made to order, I bet the person that made it, would be able to help. Would you be able to post some pictures?
