| Here's another. I noticed this week that around her nose almost looks whitish in color too... Who knows...

| Ok, I am sincerely confused! Do you all mean that the color that develops on a photograph from light flashing against a dogs retina is associated with coat texture? So, is the implication that there is a genetic trait in common with the eye color and hair texture? Really? Does anyone know more about this? Just curious................

| I did do a search. The best article I could find was titled 'eye shine.' Eye Shine This article begins to get into melanin production and the way it is placed on the tapetum of the eye as explanation for the color seen in a photo using a flash, but doesn't connect the dots to a genetic link to coat texture. I'd like to know if there is a solid correlation, or if this is just another old wives tale. If anyone actually has concrete research information TO SHARE, I'd appreciate it. Stating only that 'this topic has been discussed before' isn't helpful and is a great example of how people who are new to YT get rudely shut down for asking normal questions.
