Well that just made this 28 year old guy cry like a baby. My dog probably wondered why I was hugging him so much.

One day my sister called and we were talking of the predicament I was in. She said you are going to end up homeless. I replied that we may well spend the summer in my mazda van. She said. You MUST get rid of those dogs. You can't afford to keep them and it is not RATIONAL at this time in your life. I inhaled deeply and began to speak.
Sis, where have you been when I've sold everything?. Where have you been when I could not drag myself out of bed? Where have you been when my life appeared to be spiraling out of control? I can tell you one thing. Cassie, Corkie and Lei have been with me every step of the way. They have loved me, cared for me, gave me unconditional support all along this difficult journey. I KNOW where they have been and I KNOW where they will always be. That is with me. Whether it be a mansion or homeless, my darlins will be with me. That Shut her up! LOL
Sorry if that all sounded poor me, but it does illustrate just how special our little fur darlins are in our lives. They will take me kicking and screaming before I ever let them go:-)

Your Ruby knows how much you loved and still love her =) she will see you again one day and come running into your arms.. she is your guardian angel.....

I've read that many times. It's the reason I made sure I that held my Cocker as I let him go. It was so hard, but I'd never want to think of him wondering where I was in the last moments of his life. He knew I was there telling him he was always my good Bailey Boy

I'm sorry to hear you've been through so much. You are certainly a special person to know that you've made a commitment to your furbabies and will keep them through thick and thin. The situation with Ruby was not under your control, and I'm sure she knew that, and will let you know when she sees you again.

Each of the dogs, my furry kids, that I had to let go, I held as they passed. It took everything I could do to stay calm and purr in their ears, telling them what good doggies they were, and that we'd be together again some time. The last thing I wanted to do was to upset them at that time, so I HAD to stay calm. It's a very difficult thing to do, but has to be done.

Xaleia, I admire your strength. You've been hit with a lot, and you're sticking by your guns. I foresee a similar future for me, and I've always said that as long as I have food, my little dogs will be able to eat too. They don't take much ... Besides, I don't think my life would be worth living without them. I need at least ONE thing I can count on - DEPEND on - and it's them.

Like you Lee, I held each of my babies, while they passed. I too did not want them wondering where I was when they were so scared or hurt. I did not do too good staying calm, but I kissed and held them while they passed.

Bless your heart Lee. I hope you do not have a rough road ahead. If ever it gets to rough..just send a message and you will never be alone to bear it. You, me and each person on this board has had some tragedy in their lives. Does not matter how big or how small each person's burden is, it is indeed theirs and they must take it on and learn to deal. I'm not stronger than any one of you here. My path has been rocky since the day I entered this world. Much out of my control..... much has been my own bad choices.......LOL. I'm blessed that I have two wonderful sons, two gorgeous grandchildren and my three babies. We can't possibly appreciate all the treasures our world beholds unless we walk some rocky paths sometimes..no?
Things are fine now and I have a decent job. I can pay the bills and take my pups to the vet if needed. I still have Cork from my original three dorkie yorkie puddin pops... She is 15 now. Marley and Lilly have joined the fray. hahahaah

So thanks to you all for the kind words. I did not mean for you to all feel sorry for me, it's just sometimes when I read stories that come off a page or screen and grip my heart........... I begin to write......hahahaahah
