| Spontaneous vacation I just got a call from my dad who owns a lakehouse and we're planning on leaving tomorrow for two days to visit. I suddenly feel like a newborn mommy again and I want to make sure I think of everything before I go. Precious has had all but her last set of shots. There will be one other yorkie inside there (my dads) that's about 6 years old. She's up to date on all her shots so I'm hoping/thinking all will be well there. I just want to make sure I pack all the obvious and non obvious things: kennel food harness/leash toys/treats

| Thanks. I'm gonna get the collapsible food bowls today so that way when she's finished eating I can zip it back up in the ziploc bag and it doesn't get eaten by Henrietta. I've got one of those travel water bottle/bowl contraptions in her diaper bag.... (yes she has a diaper bag) spoiled rotten baby girl...

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I always have an emergency clean up kit when I take one of mine anywhere (a couple get carsick.) I have paper towels, bottled water, wash cloth and towel. I Also have a pee pad since most of mine are pee pad trained. How about a bed or blanket if she uses one. Have a great time. Also, when traveling it's best to have ID tags on at all times.

Thanks Patti for the ID tag reminder. I haven't put hers on her yet bcs the collar is too big. I bought the toy size and she still manages to get it in her teeth and pull it off. Any suggestions on that? I'd love for her to wear it but thusfar I've been unsucessful. I like the clean up kit idea. I need to get some pet wipes. I have pee pads but I've never used them. I think I"ll line her carseat with one just incase.

| You might want to get a little bottle of shampoo to bring with you. Anytime i bring Pasquale to the beach/pool/lake, I like to give him a bath afterwards to get the water residue off of him.

| Because the harness goes on and off, depending on our activity, I always have Daisy wear a collar with her tags for identification. If you decide to re-think the collar, you could try shopping in the cat section and getting a collar made specifically for kittens. They are lightweight and fit really well.

| Vacation Sounds like you got everything covered. I took my oldest baby on a 9-hour trip because my babysitter fell thru last year. She was a little over 3 months so she hadn't had all her shots either. She had more stuff than we did. She did wonderful, even with the potty thing. She didn't have one accident, even in the hotel. We did stop all the time to take her potty, but she didn't want to go. She wanted to sleep the whole time. The collar with name tag is so important, just in case she jumps and runs for it. These little babies are so fast. I just got a new baby and she was a little over 8 oz when I got her. I found a wonderful little pink collar at PetCo that fit her really good. I didn't even have to go to the cat section. I use LuckPet.com for my name tags. There is a little collar name tag that is perfect too. I know it's too late to get it, but it wraps around the collar and doesn't dangle down. (On their website it is pink and has the name Murphy on it.) I like the jingle sound so I know where my babies are so I added a little pink bell to her collar. Both my yorkies wear a harness to walk, but have their little pink collars, collar name tags, and pink little bells for identification. Just be careful with people touching her because she can get so many things. Good luck and have fun. Oh, you may want to take your puppy pen. |

| Is she going in/near the water? Might want to grab a life vest for her.
