| This isn't adding up. How could a student spend $5000 on a Yorkie and not have enough money for a crate and pee pads? No one in their right mind would spend that kind of money on a dog and then throw it outside all night in the cold. The $5000 comment is making me wonder if we're being scammed again. I hope I'm wrong about this, but I have that hinky feeling.......

Sorry if this sounds offensive ...but reading THAT post is offensive... and I am praying it's just someone who wants to get a reaction from everyone here. If that's true - you did. IF not....I really do hope someone steps in and saves that poor puppy before something terrible happens to her.

I have a cryer also. He is also a mamma's boy and I have to hold him a lot (which I totally love). It takes tons of patience, sometimes more than I feel I have in me (not him alone, but all 3 puppies at once). Count to 10 and calm down. If you are stressed, your pup is going to be a stressed puppy. Put the crate by your bed on a nightstand or something and put your fingers in the crate to comfort him. I also say "hush" in a low, deep, calm tone and tap the top of the crate a little with my other hand so he doesn't think it is me. It is working out great now. You will find that if you hold her and cuddle her you will bond with her and wouldn't trade her for a million bucks. If you feel you just can't get in control of the situation, you may be right in thinking of returning her. Don't put her outside alone even if you aren't mad at her. She is just too young, still a baby. If you aren't consistent, she will have more troubles learning. I hope it works out for you. Please know that I am typing this in a gentle tone of voice.

| I am absolutely shocked reading this post!!! How in the world can you toss your baby outside and then go and crawl back into bed and sleep?

double ditto. let's all calm down though. this thread has me concerned and in a quandary. 4theluv...just know that this is a good site to find another owner for the sweet baby if you decide she is more than you can handle. These dogs require a lot of time and expense and no matter what you paid, she will continue to cost you money. and time. and sleep. and patience. and and and. if you still want to keep her, look around your house for a safe, clean dry room for her. make it her place and as Yorkiemom suggested, use newspaper and teach her to potty on that first. Right now the main thing is this little dogs safely. We will be here to help with the rest.

| Wow. What a horrible post. Your posts don't add up at all. I hope that if you really have a Yorkie, she is ok.

| I sincerely hope you'll not put her outside again. It is too cold for that poor little cute doggie to be out in the night. There're many ways to train a puppy. I paper train my puppy and so far he is doing great. I understand you don't have money to buy crate or pee pads at the moment. Is ok, you can train her by using newspaper. Put her in the bathroom/kitchen (small area) and lay newspaper on the ground (the whole area for initial training). You will notice she has a favourite spot where she pees or poo. Gradually reduce the area where you lay the newspaper. After a few days, she will know when she needs to pee, she'll go to the newspaper. As for me, I always throw out the top layer of the newspaper and leave a little stain on the new one. She'll sniff her way to the newspaper. These cute little yorkies are very intelligent, they will learn and they can be trained. Again, the key word is "Patience". It is like trying to potty train a child. |

| Well, now I read all the posts. I understand losing your temper, but that little puppy doesn't. If you know you can't put her out in the sun all day, why would you put her out in the cold all night. I'm trying to figure a way to make this sound half polite. The concept of YT is to try and help each other and share experiences. Why don't you start with a new approach. Something like "Please help me with my new puppy", "I'm losing my patience, please help with potty training" "Was I really ready for this" and so on. I am not trying to put words into your mouth, but you will get reactions in regard to whichever way you approach it. You say you love her to death and won't give her up. Start with that, then say what your problem might be. To say you "threw" her out, sounds just like that, that you threw a little puppy (not that any size would be acceptable). I lose my patience every single day...not just puppies, I have a mouthy 12 1/2 year old daughter. It takes patience, patience, patience. |

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Gina....Once I re-read all the threads by this person.....I'm so not believing this ...I hope it's just not true.... because if it is true than a little yorkie is at severe risk.....but I have a feeling someone is playing head games here.... |

| I'm still crying at the fact that she was 'tossed outside' and forgotten. I can't believe I read that ! I'm going to go and say some prayers, and hope this tiny baby gets a lot of love. Please have some patience with her, she is so small and doesn't understand. She just wants to be loved, held, and bond with you. |
