![]() Otis has one similar to that, but without the storage unit on the bottom. I find it very, very useful! It's safer for Otis, and for me as a driver. Otis even likes it. He can see out of the window and he prefers the seat to my lap. I think you should get it!

![]() Cool Junebug. I like the fact it's higher up, cuz Yoda noseprints are all over the passenger side windows. ![]()

![]() Even though mine doesn't have a storage unit, I think it's bigger than the one in your picture, so Otis is up really high! But the bottom part is just a big hunk of foam, which is useless. I'm actaully thinking about upgrading Otis's carseat to the one you have. It's so much nicer. The funny thing is, when I forget to take it out of the car and Mike has to hold it in his lap, it's so big I can't even see out of the passenger window when I'm driving! I swear, we'll probably get into an accident because I'm laughing so hard while I'm driving when I just look over at him and see his face all squished against the back of the car seat... this is one of the occassions where "man, that little monkey Otis" phrase comes in use...so much trouble for a 7-pound dog!

![]() FastEddie: It's funny you're posting this, because I just received my PetStowAway in the mail last week. It was definitely worth the $70 - especially if you like to travel with your pet often. If you're thinking of ordering one yourself, I would highly recommend it.. your Yorkie will love you for it. Also, check out Pettails.com. They sometimes run promotions. For example, when I ordered mine, there was free shipping for all car seats. Needless to say, that unit weighs about 11 lbs, so shipping was going to be hefty (around $15). I managed to get mine for $69 SHIPPED! Keep your eye out for more promotions like that. If I get a chance, I would love to post some pics of Bridgette in her car seat to show you guys. Christina

![]() I take it Otis likes it? ![]() Does he ever get to ride in the front seat? Though I do worry about the airbags if they ever go off in an accident! That could be very, very dangerous for a Yorkie!

And if Mike is in the car, then out goes the car seat, and Otis usually hops back and forth between laps, stabbing us with his killer toenails. I don't worry about the airbag too much, but I always have the option of turning the front-seat airbag off. Did you decide whether to get Yoda's seat or not? | |

![]() We haven't gotten it, but I'm sure we'll get it eventually... Though it seems he sort of gets hot while in the sun too long (like just laying outside etc). Not sure if that is an issue if he is in a carseat (traffic in Seattle is bad!), as we don't have any tinted windows at the moment...

![]() I wish I could say that we keep the dogs safety paramount, but we don't. We have a Honda Odyssey minivan. All the seats (except driver and passenger, of course) are removed to make room for all our camping gear. The dogs seats sit side by side on top of plastic bins and Higgins crate was next to his bed so he could go in and out. Mostly he and Pogo share the bigger of the two beds and sleep away the drive time. They can both see out as they're in the middle, right behind us. We stop often for pee breaks.....more for my old bladder than theirs! Now, when we are home and the minivan is unpacked, they have a whole carpeted floor to run around on! Their beds are there, as well as a favorite knitted afghan and a pee pad, too. Pogo is fine with it and doesn't care if he can see out. Higgins is okay with it too, but would rather be UP so he CAN see out. LOVES to watch the world go by! We started out not letting him up front on our laps. But Donald (who else?) has been caving lately and letting him on his lap so he can stand up and see out the driver's window...... ![]() I want to get him one of those wonderful seats, but we really don't/won't have a place to put it....so we're still working on the problem. In the meantime, both dogs LOVE to go, go, go in the car! It is so funny to see them RACE out and jump in the side door! One of the treats we give them on long trips is a BIG chewy hide to work on when they are awake. Keeps them from getting bored, and we don't feel so guiltly when we grab a snack..... They are great little travelers!

![]() Sorry to jump in bettyeanne, but the small digicams now can take very high quality pictures. Here's a couple of review sites (with sample pictures) www.steves-digicams.com and www.dpreview.com I would recommend the Canon Elph series (S410 and S500) if you are looking for a small cam. I know quite a few people with that camera and they are very content with it. Pictures also print out nicely from an inkjet photo printer.
