Bettyeanne.....Things I would not be without in the Casita or anywhere else for that matter: That same wonderful rubber "shelf" liner that we use for everything BUT shelves! In the Casita we put it under our cushions so they don't scooch. Of course, one cannot live life without duct tape! Or those tiny little mini-clamps that you pick up at Home Depot -- MUCH better than clothes pins and bag clips! And then there is Bag Balm which is good for everything from wheels that need greasing to sun burn to boo boos. Safe for animals, of course. Now the rubber stuff doesn't help much with Higgins bed. The bed is about ten times his size, but he just muckles on to it and carries it to where he wants it! Also tries to toss it up in the air and otherwise wrestles with it for fun. Macho man!

She loves it! And so do I. It's very convenient, and safe too! She can look outside the window, but I know she's secure back there. I think she really likes it when I let down the window and the wind blows through her hair.. heh. P.S. Thanks for adding that pic FastEddie!

I married "Tim The Tool Man Taylor" (from the TV show Home Improvement) !! It's no wonder he and Patrick get along so well! When we upgraded, we used to give the old stuff to the kids. Well, now all our kids are making lots of money and get their own latest and greatest. However, Don has a brother on disability, so we often give our stuff to him. They talk about women being shopaholics? In our house it's DON! If he doesn't go to his "toy store" (Home Depot) at least three or four times a week, he's very grouchy. If you want to know the REAL reason Don likes Rock Crusher RV Park so much? The closest store is....you guessed it.....Home Depot. Radio Shacks and Circuit City's run a close second........... As I type this, he's out there making mods* to his mods! For those of you who don't know, Bettye and I met this winter at a Casita Rally in Florida. We had met previously online at the Casita Club site. A Casita is a small molded fiberglass camping trailer and we both took delivery of our little homes at around the same time. People just LOVE to modify them and make 'em fancy/comfy. This has become a passion for Patrick and Don who are locked in competition for "He who has the most mods, wins!" Yorkie mod: Higgins can now sit on a lovely new shelf across the back window and look out.....he loves it. Hugs and hoots, Mary Ellen *mods is short for modifications

I always believed in keeping my furbabies safe when in the car. After reading where some animals get lost in case of a car accident or they went thru the windshield or ran loose after an accident. I didn't want any of that to happen to my precious babies. My 2 little 5 lb girls are actual sisters 2 yrs apart, share my grandaughters old car seat. I just added a little padded plastic bin in the seat area and I use a large collar strap to hitch up their harness to the car seat strap on the baby seat. They are up high enough to look out seem content and safe. They have the same set-up in their 5K Jogging stroller when they can't walk as far as we do, besides they love to ride the stroller. Maybe someday we'll invest in one of those new car seats from Drs. Foster & Smith. When they were babies I carried them in the " PET POUCH" and they loved that also from Dr's catalog.

I've never seen a Yorkie in a stroller! Great idea, though, for the extra long trips! I bet you could get away with having them in stores that have a "No Pets" policy, too!

Oh my God. That picture is too funny. I haven't put Otis in a stroller, but he DOES ride in the child seat of a shopping cart when I sneak him into the grocery store. He's in his bag, of course, and no one ever notices him.

I sometimes take "the girls" in a shopping cart if the store allows dogs, I use their harness strap and attach them to the back of the seat of the cart. People are always talking to them and they get so much attention all the time. I have one of those carriers and can fit the both of them in it but don't use it that much anymore. They have to be OUT where the ACTION IS. ha ha ha ha ha ..
