| Hi, new one here.. Ahem.. hi. My name is Nikki. I haven't joined a forum since before high-school so forgive me if I posted in the wrong area. I live in Chicago and met my boyfriend and his wonderful Lexi about a year ago. She was so sweet and welcomed me so quickly. On May 5th she passed away. Me and my boyfriend were crushed, especially him. He had her for 8 years, they were never apart. She would have been 9 this month. He's dealing with the pain everyday, and I always try to be there for him. It hurts me a lot and I miss her so much. I'm not trying to win over peoples' sympathy so I will just state why I joined.. I think I'm trying to find ways to cope and I'd figure talking to other yorkie owners will help ease some pain. sorry if this is a downer. I'm not the happiest new member, huh? -nikki |

| Thank you so much. It means a lot to me. Surprisingly, the people I talked to about the loss of Lexi was not taken seriously.. I had mentioned it to my friend almost at the verge of crying again to which he replied "Just buy him a new one and name it Lexi". I'm not sure if you could swear here but my reaction wasn't a very nice one. She was never just a yorkie or dog to me. It's really nice to hear from people who can relate.

| Hi welcome to YT! It is so hard when we lose one of our little ones. You will see that everyone here is just like you................they are not just a dog but they are part of our family and we love them. There is no replacing your Lexi but you can forever hold on to the memories that you have of your little one. With time you memories will no longer bring tears but smiles when you remember what a wonderful little girl she was and how she touched your and your bf lives.

| I'm feeling welcomed already. :"> Thank you. Just thought I'd share a pic of my bf and our baby. I told Lexi to attack her man. She did a damn good job.

| I wanted to welcome you to Yorkie Talk. Even thought the circumstance for joining are so sad, you have found a forum of caring people who do not think of their babies as just dogs, and understand the grief you and your BF are experiencing. These little guys are a part of our families and loved so much. I am so sorry for you and your BF loss, Just remember the love you all shared and what a good life you gave Nikki. She will forever remain in your heart and no one can diminish that or take that away from you. RIP precious little Nikki
