| Boomer's hair cut idea.... I wanted to get more feedback before tomorrow so I moved this thread. Boomer is getting a cut on Sunday for free since Petsmart forgot to book him on Saturday....saves me $50 Here is what I was thinking... I found this pic online to show the groomer. Do you think it's too short? I'd keep the head and tail long, of course. I still want a good pony tail on his head. What do you think?? http://crpuppylove.com/puppies/2009%...MBER%20026.jpg __________________

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | that picture really isn't very helpful to a groom, especially one at petsmart. LOL your better off finding one of a side view with the dog standing.

| agreed... you want to have photos of different angles to show the groomer... otherwise you may not end up happy with the cut because they wont understand exactly what you want.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Just make sure you emphasize that you DO NOT want him shaved. I have heard to many times that these type groomers will shave rather than deal with mats. That cut in the picture is adorable.

| That cut looks like what Bogie's hair cut looked like when we adopted him last summer. The breeder called it a sport cut??? It was really just a little longer version of a puppy cut. The dog in that pic is adorable, but I agree a groomer probably can't tell much by it. I have taken pictures into the groomer I was using before and it was always hit or miss, so I just do it myself now. Good luck tomorrow and don't forget to post pics.

| if it were me, i would do a couple of things: 1) talk to the actual groomer who would be doing the cutting, b/c things seem to get lost in translation through several people; 2) show them the picture; and 3) tell them exactly what you said here, that i want the head and tail longer and also that i do NOT want a shave, but a puppy cut, the length of which is shown in the picture. if they mess it up after that, well idk good luck!! post pics!! |

| Boomer got his haircut His head and tail are still long which I asked for and his body is is just as short as I wanted it. I'd post a pic but I can't get it to transfer onto this thread. I put it in my album though. I really like it The head could actually be a little shorter...he he, but I think it looks great. All ready for SUMMER!!!
