None of the groomers i know have to pay a fee to work at a shop. usually they are on payroll and work on commission. the owner of the shop takes a percentage of their groom. i guess you can call that a fee but i don't see it as one.

just remember sometimes when you don't tip the groomer you are also not tipping the people that help the groomer and work an hourly rate without commission. just like not tipping the waiter, which in turn means the busy boy and hostess don't get a tip either.

She is so adorable! I love the name you chose, too. She is a jewel. I imagine she is loving having people primp over her! I'm glad you liked the groomer.

I'm really sorry she has to go under anesthesia twice. I didn't know her teeth were bad. Poor lil girl. But now she's a lucky lil girl and she has someone to treat her the way she was meant to be treated - like a princess!

Have you thought about a mobile groomer? They come to your home and are done pretty quick and less stress.

hi kalina! since you work in that industry, i'd definitely like your opinion. on a $25 wash, what's a good tip? i think she did the work on her own, possibly one assistant....

thanks!! i'm so blessed to have her and i will make sure she never has to take any more abuse!! since her previous owners didn't even bother to feed her, i don't think they put any effort into taking care of her teeth....

i am not opposed to mobile groomers, i just wanted a referral for whomever i used....
